On June 28, 2025,Star WarsRebels premiered on Disney XD and ran for four Seasons, concluding on June 13, 2025. Taking place several years after Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, but set before the Original Trilogy, Rebels follows the Ghost crew, a ragtag group of Rebels, and their fight against the forces of the Empire.
While starting out rather small and taking place primarily on the planet Lothal, the series gradually grew in scale, introducing more classic characters from the Star Wars mythos, and raising the stakes with each Season. Over half a decade since its conclusion, Rebels' legacy still lives on as its characters and stories continue to be present, both in animation and live-action, in shows such as The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and The Bad Batch.
10Zero Hour Part 1 & Part 2

Providing all the exciting action Star Wars fans would expect, Zero Hour is a satisfying conclusion to Rebels Season 3.
9Trials Of The Darksaber
Season 2, Episode 15
Trials of the Darksaber is arguably the most important episode for Sabine’s character in Season 3, if not the entire series. In possession of theDarksaber,Sabine hopes that she can use it to unite her people, the Mandalorians, against the Empire.
Kanan and Ezra help train her, but progress is stalled as Sabine’s growing frustrations quickly become a problem. It isn’t until she finally admits her past failures and hidden fears to her friends that Sabine gains confidence in herself. Trials of the Darksaber is an emotional episode that showcases Sabine’s vulnerabilities while revealing more of her past.
8The Siege Of Lothal Part 1 And Part 2
Season 2, Episodes 1 & 2
How does a Star Wars show make an explosive Season premiere? By introducingDarth Vader, voiced by the late, great James Earl Jones himself, of course. In The Siege of Lothal, the Ghost crew are framed for murder by the Empire and try fleeing Lothal to join up with the wider Rebellion. Vader pursues them the whole way in an awesome display of his power and presence.
The Siege of Lothal is an epic opener to Season 2 that further connects Rebels with the wider Star Wars universe, all while showcasing why Darth Vader is such a great villain.
7Shroud Of Darkness
Season 2, Episode 18
A Season 2 episode that focuses on the show’s three main force users,Ezra,Kanan, and Ahsoka, Shroud of Darkness sees them travel to a Jedi Temple on Lothal to find answers on how to escape the Empire’s Inquisitors that continue to track them. Upon entering the Temple, each of them receives a vision that helps them with their inner conflicts and reveals the next steps on their journey.
Shroud of Darkness is a great character-driven episode that provides development and closure to its trio, while including cool cameos and setting the stage for Season 2’s unforgettable finale.
6Fire Across The Galaxy
Season 1, Episode 15 (Finale)
Star Wars Rebels' first Season finale helped change the game for the show going forward. The Ghost crew launch an attack to rescue Kanan from the Empire’s clutches, leading to some exciting action scenes, like Kanan’s epic final duel with The Grand Inquisitor, and surprising twists, including the return ofAhsoka Tano.
Fire Across the Galaxy truly lives up to its name and got Star Wars fans excited about the next season.
5Twin Suns
Season 3, Episode 20
The last episode before Season 3’s epic finale had Ezra and Chopper travel to Tatooine to save Obi-Wan Kenobi from his insidious nemesis, Maul (once again voiced by Sam Witwer). The young Padawan and astromech droid experience a haunting journey as they aimlessly travel across the desert planet in the hopes of finding the lost Jedi Master before Maul does.
Twin Suns may not have ended with the epic dual of fates fans had anticipated, but it gave Kenobi and Maul’s decades-long rivalry a proper and surprisingly poignant conclusion.
4A World Between Worlds
Season 4, Episode 13
One of the final episodes of the series, A World Between Worlds is a pretty weird one, too. Ezra travels through a portal into the World Between Worlds, a mystical dimension that connects all of time and space through the Force. Ezra hears the voices of several characters throughout Star Wars' history and even uses a door in time to save a friend before finally accepting that he can’t save another. Ezra even has a fire-fueled stand-off withEmperor Palpatine.
A World Between Worlds is a satisfying and emotional episode filled with equal parts mysticism, character development, and fanservice.
3Jedi Night
Season 4, Episode 10
One of the most devastating Star Wars episodes to date, the Ghost crew launch a rescue mission to save one of their own. While the mission is a success, it comes at a great cost, as one of them makes the ultimate sacrifice to save the team.
In a series like Star Wars, not everyherogets a happy ending, and it’s up to the heroes who live to keep the memories alive of the ones who don’t. Jedi Night is a tragic episode featuring the Ghost crew’s greatest loss, setting the tone for the remainder of the final Season.
2Family Reunion - And Farewell
Season 4, Episode 15 (Finale)
The series finale of Star Wars Rebels sees the Rebels launch their final attack against Grand Admiral Thrawn to free Lothal from the Empire. Packed to the brim with action, tension, spectacle, and emotion, Star Wars Rebels goes out with an unforgettable bang that gives closure to its characters, but leaves the door open for more.
It wouldn’t be until The Mandalorian and Ahsoka that the Ghost crew would return and make their live action debuts, and there’s still more to come, but this was a fitting finish. Family Reunion - and Farewell is a satisfying, if bittersweet, conclusion to Disney’s first Star Wars series.
1Twilight Of The Apprentice Part 1 And Part 2
Season 2, Episodes 21 And 22 (Finale)
Arguably Star Wars Rebels' most intense Season finale. Ezra, Kanan, and Ahsoka arrive on the Sith world Malachor to find the answers they seek. As they journey to the ancient temple, they are stalked by three Inquisitors, cross paths with the manipulative, merciless, and treacherous Darth Maul, and face-off once again withDarth Vader.
