World of Warcraftis now 20 years old, and with that achievement comes a nearly three-month-long celebration. From the dates of Jun 05, 2025 to July 21, 2025, there will be a multitude of things to do around the Caverns of Time, including mini-games, running old dungeons and raids, unlocking new and old appearances, mounts, and more.
With so much to do, you might be feeling overwhelmed with all the possibilities; and with an event so short, we are here to make sure that you can do everything it has to offer. Luckily, we’ve got a guide to help out.
How To Get To The Caverns Of Time
In order to begin the festivities, you must first make your way to theCaverns of Timein Tanaris. This is simple, as there is a portal in both Orgrimmar and Stormwind.
ForHordeplayers, go to theportal roomand headdown the stairsto the leftto find the portal straight ahead.Allianceplayers, simply head into theportal roomandturn rightto see it at theend of the hall.
What To Do At The 20 Anniversary Celebration
There are a multitude of things to do and participate in during this event, so we have split it up into categories, all of which can be foundaround the celebration hubat theCaverns of Time.
Collect And Spend Bronze Celebration Tokens and Timewarped Badges
There are two main currencies for purchasing rewards during this event:Bronze Celebration TokensandTimewarped Badges. Both can be earned from various quests in the area, as well as a few other sources.
Bronze Celebration Tokensare earned primarily throughquestsgiven by NPCs during the event. These will each givetwo to three tokens, so you will have to do a lot of grinding to get every reward available.
Timewarped Badgesare also given as rewards forquests.The primary source, however, is through runningClassic Timewalking dungeons, which can be queued for via theDungeon Finder. Not only will these dungeons givetenTimewarped badgesper boss, but your first dungeon on any character will reward you with 500 badges.

As mentioned before, there are plenty ofqueststo do in the area, bothdailyandweekly. The following quests will give two to three Bronze Celebration tokens:
The following quests, ‘A Time To Reflect’, ‘Soldier of Time’,and ‘Timely Gate Crashers’, will give ten, 100, and 150 Timewarped Badges, respectively.
Participate In Mini-Games
There are threemini-gamesthat are rotated:Story Time,Fashion Frenzy, andMount Mania. Participating in them doesn’t give you any physical rewards, but it is necessary to complete a number of achievements.
Description
Story Time
This quest begins at thetop of each hourand at thehalf hour markon the theater stage to the right.
The event is quite simple:Lorewalker Chowill choose between three stories and tell the tale to the audience. Occasionally, anaction buttonwill appear to interact with the play in some way. Justsit until the end and react when you canto complete this event.
Fashion Frenzy
This quest is located at theelevated stage to the left of the huband starts at thefirst fifteen minutes of the hour.
Once the event starts, the NPC Althaea will announce atheme. Using this theme, you havetwo minutesto transmog your character to fit the theme, either via a mount with atransmogrifieror the Warpeaver NPC to the right. Once the time is up,grab any ribbonfrom the small table anduse it while clicking on playersto choose thebest outfit. Once the voting is over, the four winner’s outfits will be presented on stage.
Mount Mania
This quest begins at the45 minutemarkat asmall, fenced-in arearight of the main hub.
When the event starts, the NPC on stage will begin tocall out mounts; if you canmatch the mount,you get a point. We’d recommend having yourMount Journal openso you may easily access the search option. There are a total of15 rounds, and the person who matches the most will be deemed the winner at the end.
Run Old Raids And Dungeons
Blackrock Depthsmakes a return during this event, allowing players to run a scaled version of it onLFR,Normal, andHeroic. You can easily queue for an LFR run by going intoRaid Finder, but any difficulties above will require you to find a group either with your guild or onPremade groups.
All of the loot from this dungeon will be forlevel 80 only, so we recommend you only do it onmax characters.
Defeat World Bosses
There are a total ofsix world bossesscattered acrossKalimdorand theEastern Kingdom.
You can easily locate which ones are up byopeningthe mapand spotting agiant skull symbolin their locations. We recommend teaming up inPremade groupsto reliably down the boss.
Unlock Achievements
There are a total of37 achievementsunique to this event, ranging from simply participating in the mini-games to completing hidden questlines given by the NPCs. For analmostcomplete list, go to theachievementstab, World Events, then click onAnniversary Celebration.
Most importantly, however, is the achievment ‘A Cool Twenty Years’, which upon completion will give you theColdflame Tempest Mount. Keep an eye out for an upcoming guide on how exactly to claim this mount for yourself.
