There’s plenty to do and see after you’ve taken off in the Hot Air Balloon to kick off the festivities inSuper Mario Party Jamboree, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled for odd little happenings around the area as you and your friends select which game mode you’ll be playing.

There are 30 different photo opportunities for the album in Super Mario Party Jamboree, and they’ll pop up periodically as you play the game. Any time you’re on the mode selection screen in Super Mario Party Jamboree, keep an eye out for any odd happenings around the islands.

How To Take Photos For The Album

If you’ve visited theData Housealready in the Party Plaza, then you’ll have seen the section of its menu labeledAlbum. Here, you’ll find the names of all30 total photosfor the album in Super Mario Party Jamboree! While it might help to know what you’re looking out for, sincethe name of the photo is a hint as to what you should look for, you’ll still need to figure out where each picture spot in Jamboree is, since the album won’t actually tell you that part.

While it’s definitely understandable to want to complete your album as soon as possible,album photos happen randomlyin Super Mario Party Jamboree as you flip between islands through themode selection screenafter taking off from the Party Plaza in the Hot Air Balloon to start playing. Before you click right into your desired game mode, you might want to do a lap around the area andzoom in on anything abnormalyou see that seems out of place.

Given that these photo opportunities seem to spawn every time you take off in the Hot Air Balloon, there may be merit to repeatedly returning to the Party Plaza and looking for photo ops when you take off in the Hot Air Balloon again immediately after, but these will happen organically as you play, too, if you’re not in a rush to finish Jamboree’s photo album.

Since these photo spots trigger randomly, it’s important to note thateach album photo has a rarity levelinSuper Mario Party Jamboree, which you’ll see denoted bybetween one and three starsabove the photo. The rarer the photo is, the less likely it is you’ll see that particular situation happen on your mode select screen, so be extra sure to capture them on the odd occasion they pop up!

You’ll alsoearn Party Points for each photo you takefor the album, regardless of whether it’s a repeat or not! You’ll earn different point values for each picture you take, and yourearning depend on the pictures' rarity. You’ll earn:

To take a photo for your photo album, you’ll want tozoom in on the character(s)alluded to in the name of the picture from the album. you may do this by hitting theup and down buttonson your JoyCon no matter which configuration you’re using them, and once you’ve zoomed in enough, thebinocular outline will flash, andyou’ll have the opportunity on the screen tohit the A buttonwhen prompted, and the image will be captured.

Pictures will automatically be saved to your album, and you can thenview your picture album from the Data Houseanytime you’re back in the Party Plaza. Clicking on a photo will also tell you the date on which you took the picture (or at least which date your Switch was set to when the photo was taken if you’re not syncing that information online). If you take the same photo more than once, you’ll be allowed to choose which of the two photos you want to save to the picture album in the Data House.

You will, however, need to manually screenshot anything from the Picture Album that you want to save to your Switch, as taking photos in Super Mario Party Jamboree for the photo album isn’t the same thing as screenshotting from your Nintendo Switch directly.
