Upon beginning the first actual chapter inThe Rise of the Golden Idol, you’re warned of a strange threat looming over a place called New Wells. You might be wondering what this threat is - well, no worries, it will become clear soon enough. Inevitably, you’ll begin figuring things out through solving some nasty mysteries.
The first puzzle within Chapter 1 is The Death of a Brilliant Mind, and it’s clear from the outset whose death you’re investigating. This very sad scene has plenty of clues to uncover, so you best get your detective shoes on and start investigating!

Completing this will unlock the first part of Story 1 for completion, but this cannot actually be done until you have completed Chapter 1.
