Ys X: Nordicsis one of those games that start quite slow, but it opens up regularly as you progress through the main story. At first, you’ll essentially have to go through a bunch of dialogue with little fighting until you reach Balta Island, where you’ll be tasked to undergo a trial to make Adol and Karja shield brethren.
For this, you’ll head over to Lecto Island, which will also be the first major island that you’ll have to fully explore. Apart from getting past this island, you’re able to also get various hidden chests and crystal clusters to complete your exploration.
Lecto Island Main Area Guide
As you get close to Lecto Island, you’llhave to dock the shipon the back side since there will already be a Griegr ship at the front. After disembarking, progress into the land a bit andthen you’ll find a spot where you’re able to mana string to the other side.
After this, you may simply head deeper into the island until your path gets divided between two. Take the right path here (left on the minimap) and go to a higher platform. Here, you can useanother mana string to get to the other sideand enter the cave to continue the story.
You’ll find various giant boar enemies here, and it’s recommended tofocus on dodging their attacksbefore you try to hit them.

Crystal Cluster

Once you use the mana string for the first time in this area, you’llfind this sitting on a cliff to your right.

You’ll see this chest both on the minimap and on your screennear the crystal cluster above.

You can find this on the northern edgebefore you head up to one of the diverted pathshere.

After using the second mana string, you’llfind this chest to your leftguarded by a boar enemy.

Jump down to thesmall river flowing in the lower partof this area to find this cluster.

Buried Treasure
3x Rainbow Drop
You can find this buried treasure after the path gets divided on the right edge.
You won’t be able to find Buried Treasure when you first arrive on Lecto Island.Progress the story until you unlock mana senseto start getting these.
Cavern Of The Rite Area Guide
Once you enter the cavern, you’ll have to go through a bunch of rooms before you reach the end.Some of these rooms will contain various trapswhile others will be filled with enemies. You’ll commonly see rooms with pressure plates at the start. You can simply sprint through these since the sprint will also help you dodge the projectiles that get launched upon touching the plates.
The first room will require you to time your movement to dodge the moving boulders, while the second one will spawn four enemies thatwill consistently perform speed attacks for you to dodge. After dodging one of these attacks, you can get close to them and launch a buffed attack to deal high damage.
In the next room, you’ll have to use Karja’s mana burst near the higher platform to jump to it and proceed. Defeat all the enemies in the next couple of areas anduse Adol’s burst to destroy the thorn walls so you may proceed. As you continue through these rooms, you’ll eventually have to face a miniboss called Ziomander.
This boss has quite a chunk of HP, but you’re able to easily defeat it byfocusing the highest damage-dealing skillson it.
After progressing enough, you’ll reach a big room with some Griegr in it. Defeat them and use the path on the right side towards the other end of the room to get higher. Here, you’ll have to use Adol’s burst before finding alever that’ll open the door past the room. Next, you’ll have to get past a room with both traps and enemies.
You can simplymana string to the Griegr and then defeat thembefore moving forward. At this point, you can reach the final room andtrigger the boss fight against Ioibefore beating Lecto Island.
Armor Seal
you may see thischest in the openas you progress through the cavern.
you’re able to see this in the open as youenter the second roomafter getting the chest above.
This one is also sitting in the middle once you enter the giant room in the cavern.
Breath Formula
Use Karja’s burst near the broken platforms to the left as soon as you enter the big room andthen Adol’s burst on the blockage aheadto get this chest.
Warrior Bandana
You’ll find this on the path as youtry to open the leverin the big room.
Shield Star
Can be found on theleft path at the big room’s endin the cavern.
Another crystal cluster found in the middle as you progress through the rooms.

These are the two chests you can find oneach side of the platformin the room after the big room.
