Prepping the right dishes ahead of a tough encounter can make a lot of difference in battle, and certain side quests even call for specific meals to make or ingredients to gather. Here’s everything you need to know about cooking, including a complete list of ingredients and every recipe you can make.
How To Cook Food
Cooking takes place on the Gauntlet Runner, which you’ll acquire after theTournament of the Thronekicks off on 6/24. However,to cook food, theRunner has to be on the move, so you’ll need to chart a course to a destination from the Runner’s round table.
Fortunately, you’llfind plenty of time to cook while en route to different locations, from optional dungeons and remote villages to major settlements like Martira and Brilehaven.
How To Unlock Speed Cooking
Initially,cooking will take up a portion of your day, butprogressingMaria’s Follower Bondto Rank Fourunlocks the Speed Cooking skill. With Speed Cooking, cooking doesn’t take away from your day, which lets you spend time on other activities.
Keep in mind, though, that even with Speed Cooking,you can only cook once per time block— once in the afternoon and once at night.Plan your meals carefully, andmake sure cooking takes priority over other activitiesin the Runner when needed after unlocking Speed Cooking.
