Maria’s follower arc is one ofMetaphor: ReFantazio’s most touching. The sweet young girl is full of life, and yet so many in Grand Trad see her as a filthy half-breed. She’s endured so much, and helping her to overcome these harshly unfair obstacles is richly rewarding in its own right.
And yet, there are excellent tangible gameplay rewards as well. In this guide, we’ve documented the earliest dates in which you’re able to reach fresh follower ranks with Maria, as well as what you’ll gain from them all. You don’tneedto do them ASAP, but we reckon you ought to, anyway.
How To Unlock Maria As A Follower
Maria unlocks automatically onJune 10th, making her one of Metaphor: ReFantazio’searliest followers. A separate mechanic, however, involvingdelivering every piece of vista artworkso that she can hang them up at the Hushed Honeybee, occurs a bit later.
In some cases,you’ll need to have obtained a certain artworkfor Maria’s ranks to advance. We’ll document those instances below.

As a quick reminder,dialogue choices in Metaphor: ReFantazio do not determine whether you advance in a follower rank. This is different from Persona’s social links. Instead,the only deviation is how much MAG you receive.
