With the release ofGenshin Impact5.0 and Natlan that came with it, we got to witness the arrival of new Local Legends. Local Legends are bosses scattered and hidden throughout Tevyat. These bosses are powerful and are very hard for most players to defeat. Defeating Local Legends rewards the players with achievements, and for defeating Natlan’s Local Legends, travelers are rewarded with an achievement under the “Duelist Series.”
Unlike the usual single achievement for defeating a Local Legend, Natlan’s Local Legends have up to three achievements for each Local Legend. There are no requirements to unlock these bosses, and you can simply go fight them after reaching Natlan.
Location Of Polychrome Tri-Stars
Polychrome Tri-Stars is located north of Natlanand you mustdefeat three Fatui enemies to receive the achievement. The Fatui enemies consist ofCyrogunner, Pyroslinger, and an Electrohammer Vanguard.
Keep in mind that these three are not normal Fatui’s. All three Fatui’s have high HP and deal very high amounts of damage. Pyroslinger can even kill most travelers with one hit.
It’s recommended that you bring a team composition to this fight that candestroy Pyro, Cyro and Electro shieldseffectively.
Location Of Cocijo
Cocijo can be found by teleporting to theStatue Of Seven at Ameyalco Watersand headingstraight to the place that looks like an Arenain front of you.
Cocijo only spawns after youdestroy all theElectro Crystalssurrounding the Arena.Pyrocan be used to destroy the Electro crystals.
Cocijo does very high amounts of continuous damage and has high HP. It is recommended you fight Cocijo with a strongshielder and a ranged damage dealer.
There is also an easy way to “cheese” the boss by luring Cocijo to a nearby rock and thenattacking Cocijo from a height. Attain the high ground and use skills that can do ranged damage to kill Cocijo
Location Of Sappho Amidst the Waves
This Local Legend is located atTepeacas Rise, north west of Blazing Ruins Domainin Natlan.
All Local Legends that are in theopen worldcan be defeated inco-op mode. If you are having trouble defeating a Local Legend, it’s a great choice to team up with a friend.
Sappho Amidst the Waves is one of the relatively easier local legend bosses in Natlan, and she does not attack you unless provoked. This fight should be simple for most players. Deal as much damage as you can andavoid the red circlesto win the fight.
Location Of Balachko
Balachko is a Local Legend version of a Fatui Pyro Agent locatednear the domain Sanctum of Rainbow Spirits. Teleport to the domain andturn around to notice a cave. Head inside the cave to find aprecious chestnear alarge gatethat is surrounded by enemies.
To find Balachko, you mustopen the gate. To open the gate,you need two keys:one can be acquiredfrom a rope hanging from the ceilingnearby, and the other is inside acage in the cave.
Balachko is a tricky opponent because he moves a lot and cannot be visible at times. It’s recommended to usefreeze teamsfor this fight or use a character that has strong shields.
Location Of Cihuacoatl Of Chimeric Bone
Cihuacoatl is a unique boss, and this fight occurs in a secret realm. You could call this “secret realm” a domain.
Local Legend bosses that are insidedomains cannot be played in Co-op.
To find Cihuacoatl,teleport to the Statue of Seven on Coatepec Mountain, turn around to get theSaurian’s form,and navigate through the cliffs of Coatepec Mountain using the Saurian’s ability.
Cihuacoatl is a straightforward boss with simple mechanics. You can defeat it by simply doing enough damage andavoiding lethal hits.
Using aranged Pyro characterwill make this boss much easier.
Location Of He Never Dies
He Never Dies is one of thehardest Local Legendsin Natlan and you can be a legend by defeating it fair and square. He Never Dies is easy to find and is located east of the Ancestral Temple by a small pond.
He Never Dies can be a tough challenge for even veteran players. It’s recommended to use characters that can stun the enemy for this fight.Overloaded teamsandplunge attackswork well against He Never Dies.
There is a way to “cheese” this boss by using Jean.Jean’s Elemental Skillcan lift the boss and throw the boss around, effectivelycheating your way to victory.
Location Of Tlatzacuilotl
Tlatzacuilotl is located in theSulfurous Veins. Start by teleporting to any of theteleport waypoints at Sulfurous Veinsand head to thebottom of the valleyto find acube-like crystal.
To unlock Tlatzacuilotl you must transform into aSaurianandhit the cube-like-crystalto initiate a challenge in which you have to use the Saurian’s ability to go underground and navigate through the marked places.
After finishing the challenge, you will be led to where Tlatzcuilotl is located.
Location Of Chimalli’s Shade
Chimalli’s Shade is the easiest Local Legend to find. You canteleport to the Ancestral Temple,turn around, go straight and jump off the balcony,andglide left to find the entrancethat leads to Chimalli’s Shade.
Using aCyro characterwill make this boss fight much easier. You canfreeze the “Water Orb"attack from the boss with Cyro and send it back to the boss with acharged attack. This will break his shield quickly.
Location Of Atlatl’s Blessing
Teleport to theteleport waypoint in Tepeacac Riseand head towards thenearest waterfallyou can see. As you reach the waterfall, you will notice a cave. Headinside the caveand move forward to easily find “Atlatl’s Blessing.”
Atlatl’s Blessing is a very unique Local Legend fight in Natlan, as you will be forced to playAether/Lumineto fight the boss by using a mechanic that lets youparry and deflectenemy attacks.
Location Of Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis
Ichcahuipilli can be tricky to find and most Genshin players will most likely miss it even if they fully explored Natlan. To find Ichcahuipilli, head towards thesmall villagenorth of Huiztli Hill, which iswest of Natlan.
When you reach the village, notice a normal-lookingtall rock in the center. This is thehidden altar that teleports you to the Ichcahuipilli boss.
To unlock this altar, you mustfind three “keys” nearby. Thefirst keyis towards theeast of the village, at theend of its river.
Transfom into a Saurian and use yourElemental Skill buttonto activate the key that is at theend of the river in the village.
Thesecond keyis inside one of the houses. Go inside thehouse with a hole in the tree trunkattached to find the second key. The second key is locked behind a simple puzzle.
Get thegrappling hookfrom inside the house and go outside topull the blockand set the “key” free.
Thefinal keycan be found near the largecrystal ore depositin thecenter of the village. Simply look for aglowing spoton the ground for the “key.” Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis will be unlocked by now, and you’re able to fight it.
Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis has a unique mechanic where you can stack “curses” to amplify your damage multiple times. Due to this, Ichcahuipilli’s Aegis boss fight should be easy for most players.
