If you’ve reached the Ostown area ofDisney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, you likely already have a good handle on the game’s mechanics and hidden locations. However, the difficulty of these locations increases from this area as you’ll have to be quite attentive if you want to get past it without making bad choices.
This difficulty is shown during the Ostown Phone Network quest where you have to find three hidden power boxes for the Telephone in Ostown. Here are all the places you’ll need to visit to get this quest done and move to the next area.
How To Get Ostown Phone Network Quest
As soon as you reach Ostown, you’ll quickly notice a bunch of houses and a Gag Factory in the area. You’ll also get a quest called Noisy Safewhere you’ll have to get the right code for it to free the Gremlin inside. Once you’ve finished this quest, the Gremlin will mention that its wrench was stolen by the Telephone in Mickey’s house.
Unfortunately, this Telephone won’t be easy to deal with. When you go talk to it, it’ll ask you to findthree more power boxes much like the one outside Mickey’s house, unlocking the Ostown Phone Network quest. However, when you get out of this house, you’ll get a choice to bypass this quest by letting the Gremlin deal with the Telephone.
It’s recommended torefuse the Gremlin’s proposal for your first playthroughsince it can prevent you from getting some collectibles.
All Power Box Locations
While you can only get the Ostown Phone Network after freeing the Gremlin in this area,you can technically finish this quest beforehand. The power boxes are already in Ostown as soon as you enter, and if you’ve been exploring around, there’s a chance you might already have a couple of them done by the time you get the quest.
However, ifyou’re missing one or more of these, here are all the places you’ll have to visit:
First Power Box Location
For the first box, you have to thin out the grass outside Clarabelle’s house,which is the first one on the left as soon as you enter Ostown. As you thin it out, you’ll notice a cave below with the power box on the ball. Simply use your blue paint to get it done.
Second Power Box Location
For the next one, you’ll be looking to get ontop of the Gag Factory on the bottom right side of Ostown. To do this easily, simply paint the trash can near the entrance and then you can jump on it to get to the top. Look at the middle of the wall and you’ll find the unpainted power box there.
Third Power Box Location
For the final power box, you’ll have to cross the thinner-filled water body on the right side of this area. Since the bridge isn’t connected, you may edge along the right side of the body or use a double jump to get across. You’llnotice an orange wall on the other side with a gate pattern drawnin the middle of it.
Thin out this area and the cave hiding the final power box will be revealed. After getting all three boxes,you may head back to the Telephone to get the wrench, which you can then give to the Gremlin and finish your Ostown progress.
