Summary
InStory of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, there are three types of treasures hidden throughout Mineral Town: the Goddess Treasure, the Kappa Treasure, and the Truth Treasure. The first two require you to delve intothe minesto find jewels hidden in rocks. However, the Truth Treasure is different.
Like the other two treasures, you need nine jewels - called Truth Jewels - to obtain the Truth Treasure. However, unlike the other two, these jewels are hidden throughout nine locations in Mineral Town. Once obtained, you can carry these jewels around in your rucksack if you like. However, it’s honestly easier to just keep them in the item cabinet in your house until you need them.
The treasure, sadly, doesn’t do much. With it as the active tool, your current stamina and fatigue points will show on screen, but you can pretty much see that information already.
It was definitely much more useful information in the GBA version where it wasn’t so readily available.
9In The Water Trough
Your Horse Can’t Drink That!
The first jewel isn’t far from home. Look no further than your horse barn, located to the east of your house on the northern side of your farm. Hidden inside your horse’s water trough is the first Truth Jewel. All you need to do is stand in front of the trough and press the confirm button to examine the trough.
The jewel will then be placed into your inventory if there’s an empty spot. Feel free to put this in your storage for now. Some of the Truth Jewels will take a while to obtain.
8At The Street Lamp Post
Was This The Light Bulb?
The second Truth Jewel can be found on the road north of Rose Plaza. The final lamp post before you reach the church is your destination.
Go up to the lamp post and press the confirm button to examine what should be an ordinary lamp post. Instead, you’ll find your second Truth Jewel. Where was it hidden? As the light bulb? It’s hard to say, but we’re one step further towards our goal of getting nine jewels. Like before, feel free to put this Truth Jewel into storage.
7The Goddess Statue
Where The Goddess Can’t See
The next Truth Jewel isn’t too far away from where you currently are. Head north to the church and go west until you reach the statue of the Harvest Goddess. Like before, you’re given the prompt to examine the statue. Hidden behind it is your third Truth Jewel.
In the Game Boy Advance version of this game, there isn’t actually a Truth Jewel here. It’ll be on the roof of your dog’s house instead. In the Switch version, your pet lives in your house with you, so they moved the location for this jewel. Keep this in mind if you’re playing that version of the game.
6In The Library
Knowledge Is Power
The next Truth Jewel is on the western side of upper Mineral Town, on the second floor of the library. Feel free to say hi to Marie, then go up the stairs. Go to the most southeastern bookshelf, and you’ll find what you’re looking for.
Again, you’ll be given the prompt to examine the book case. Instead of finding a book with helpful tips about farming life, you’ll find another Truth Jewel, supposedly hidden at the back of the bookcase.
5At The Horse Race
Test Your Luck, Win A Prize
Now things get a little harder. You can get your next Truth Jewel by winning the horse derby enough times to get 1,000 medals. The Spring Derby is held on Spring 18, while the Autumn Derby is on Autumn 18. You need an adult horse to participate in the third race, but you can bet on all four. Each ticket costs 100G.
Don’t feel bad if you’re not lucky enough to get all the medals during one festival. The medals carry on to future derbies, so keep trying until you get enough medals to win your prize.
4From Huang’s Shop
The Truth Isn’t Free
The truth may set you free, but Huang’s Truth Jewel certainly doesn’t come free. Though you could technically access this Truth Jewel from the beginning of the game, it’ll take time to make enough money to meet Huang’s hefty price.
Once you have 50,000G you’re willing to spend, go to Huang’s shop. You can find it to the north of the beach in the house on the right. Talk to Huang while standing on the other side of his orange crate, and he’ll let you buy your next Truth Jewel from his inventory of goods.

Time To Get The Calculator
you’re able to’t access the next Truth Jewel until you own the town villa. You can purchase it from Gotz, but it’ll be even pricier than Huang’s Truth Jewel. You need10 million G, 999 lumber, and 999 material stone. Gather these materials up slowly over time instead of trying to grind them all at once.
Once you have the villa, you need to wait until Spring 1 to Spring 5. From that time, the TV in the villa will play as a special show: the Harvest Goddess' New Years math quiz show. Get all the questions right and you win your very own Truth Jewel. Congratulations, but you’re still not done.
2Inside The Mountain Cottage
Happy 50 Years Of Marriage
To get the next Truth Jewel, you need toget marriedand be with your spouse for 50 years. On your 50th wedding anniversary, your spouse will gift you the mountain cottage. It’s a long wait, but you can finally get your next Truth Jewel. After that, there’s only one more left. This is the last one you need to get before then.
Go inside your mountain cottage, located just south of Mother’s Hill, and examine the calendar. Hidden behind it is your next Truth Jewel.
1The Final Truth Jewel
Wait This Isn’t Food!
Now that you have the previous eight Truth Jewels, you may access the final ninth jewel. Bring the eight other Truth Jewels with you. You’ll want them to save some time for the next step.
Head to the north of Mineral Town and enter Mayor Thomas’s house. The final Truth Jewel is hidden inside his refrigerator. Has it been there the last 50 years as he waited for this chance? It’s probably better not to ask.
