Summary

Baldur’s Gate 3has become the latest game tolet console players use mods, something typically reserved for those on PC. So far, this has been a hit, with 1.7 million mods installed within 24 hours of the latest patch being available on console.

According toLarian, this means that 40 percent of players are now using mods - not a bad figure considering they’ve only been available on console for a few days.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Mods Already Have Millions Of Times On Console

The stats are pretty wild. Through the 2,000 mods that have been made and shared using the official mod toolkit, there were 1.7 million downloads on console in under 24 hours. Since Patch 7 went live on September 5 (it was available on PC a month before console) 22 million mods have been installed in total. We can expect this figure to rise quite a lot now that even more players have access to easily accessible modding.

Ever since Patch 7 went live on console, it’s allowed everyone to access an in-game mod page. This means that mods can be installed at the click of a button, saving a lot of faffing around. Everything from new hairstyles to completely new character classes have been made and shared by fans, giving you new ways to play Baldur’s Gate 3 now that we’re more than a year on from launch.

With that said, we can expect some more content from Larian too. Despitepreviously suggesting that Patch 7 would be the last major update, the studio has since walked that back. We know that a photo mode and cross-play multiplayer are on the cards, so we can expect that in the next patch.
