Summary

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zerodoesn’t technically launch until the end of this week, but many fans have already managed to get their hands on the game thanks to the Early Access period granted by the game’s Ultimate Edition. You’ve already got several opinions about the title flying around on social media, most of them pretty good, butone of the most common complaints about the title is its brutal difficulty.

Great Ape Vegeta is one of the game’s biggest causes of online meltdowns and thrown controllers, with even Bandai Namco itself acknowledging the character’s penchant for destroying Dragon Ball fans witha series of fun little tweets. In fact, Bandai Namco actually gave players that are struggling against Great Ape Vegeat some official advice to help them overcome the challenge -just turn the difficulty down.

Bandai Namco Tells Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Fans To “Lower The Difficulty”

Yes, you read that right. Rather than publish some detailed tips on Great Ape Vegeta’s weaknesses or some cool strategies to implement, Bandai Namco has told players to either swallow their pride and lower the difficulty, or “git gud” and stop complaining. Of course, they’d never put it that bluntly, claiming that a “win is a win” in the actual tweet itself, but that might as well have been the message to those getting grabbed and beaten into the ground by Great Ape Vegeta.

The tweet has strangely also acted as motivation for Dragon Ball fans too, as you’ll find replies to the tweet are almost exclusively made up of people telling Bandai Namco to shove their advice where the sun doesn’t shine. Either players are explaining that their pride won’t let them, or they’re cursing Bandai for kind of kicking them while they’re down.

Thankfully, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is fun enough to actually be worth all the pain and suffering. While the game is yet to be released, critical reception for Sparking Zero has been excellent, making the title one of the highest rated Dragon Ball games out there. It’s also looking like an incredible commercial success for Bandai Namco too, as it’s already managed to becomethe most-played fighting game to ever launch on Steam.
