Summary
There are 18 different kits in Spectre Divide, each coming with two different weapons; one for each of the characters that you control. Each of these kits costs a certain amount of money, and that money is something that you accrue throughout the match.
But when you die, your kit is gone, and you’ll need to buy a new one next round. That means you need to be able to make each kit worth the money you spent on it, or you’ll quickly be in a situation where you run out of money and can’t keep up with what the enemy team is throwing at you.
10Cyclone/Drummer
$2,300
The Cyclone and Drummer kit can have some real value, especially for someone who islooking to run a shotgun. It’s the most affordable Drummer kit in the game, and the Drummer can pack a punch inside its optimal range.
The Cyclone is not a bad AR, either. It’s not as good as the best of them, and in an equal fight, will lose to the Reaver. But, it’s not nearly as expensive as running the Reaver, and makes due as a budget AR.
9Fury/Cyclone
$2,400
The Fury and Cyclone kit doesn’t necessarily have its own identity, but it can be pretty serviceable in the right hands. Running two weapons that have pretty similar optimal ranges and are both fully-automatic is not unwise, it just means that both of your characters are going to have a similar role.
The Cyclone does its job well, and the Fury is an entry-level LMG that is a bit of a baby Berserker. It isn’t going to blow anybody out of the water, but if you’re looking for a high magazine size, it’s got you covered. If you’re looking to use an AR/LMG combo and are tight on cash, this will do you just fine.
8Trident/Buzzsaw
$1,600
The Trident is what pushes this kit into the realm of the best. This is far and away cheaper than other kits in this territory, and, because of the Trident, it’s going to keep up with those kits just fine.
The Trident is one of the best weapons out there, and the fact that you can get your hands on it for $1,600 means you can bring a fantastic gun around for almost no money, every round. The Buzzsaw is not a bad gun, but is definitely going to suffer a little bit in comparison.
7Tempest/Cyclone
$2500
This kit definitely has two distinct roles along with it. The Cyclone takes care of the closer to mid-range situations. It’s not the best in close or mid, but it can do either of those, and in the right hands, it’ll do what you ask of it.
The Tempest takes care of the longer sightlines. This weapon excels at holding an angle from a distance, and can convince enemies to find another way. While it is going to lose an even fight with a sniper rifle, it’s going to win a lot of fights against ARs. And, if the sniper happens to miss a shot, they’ll be dead before they can follow-up.
6Crusader/Blackout
$4,100
Coming with two very good ARs, this kit is going to do a great job at many of the fights you’re going to find in Spectre Divided. Similar to the AR/LMG kit, it does not have two weapons that fit different functions.
It can skate by, though, because both weapons it does include are ARs, so it’s very versatile. You won’t have an option for a super long-range fight against a Tempest or a sniper, and in close range, a shotgun is going to ruin your day, but in most situations you’re going to find yourself in, this kit will serve you just fine.
5Crusader/Berserker
$3,800
The Crusader and Berserker combo brings along the best LMG in the game. The Berserker can two-shot in the head inside of its optimal range, allowing it to keep up in time-to-kill with every AR in the game, apart from the Reaver.
The damage on the Berserker increases over time too, as the rate of fire increases the longer you fire it. While the other weapon, the Crusader, isn’t top-of-the-line, it’ll be a lot better than many other options.
4Crusader/Reaver
What this kit lacks in originality it makes up for in the Reaver. It brings along the generally well-accepted Crusader, but that Crusader is getting overshadowed by what is the best AR in the game.
The Reaver stands out among other weapons in this game because of the fact that it can one-shot in the head, at any range whatsoever. The only other weapons capable of this are shotguns and snipers.
3Prototype/Drummer
$5,900
The top kits in the game include the Prototype-OP, but if a sniper rifle isn’t your thing, this article effectively ends with the Crusader/Reaver. The Prototype is a one-shot to the body, making it one of the easiest weapons to dispatch enemies with and thebest sniper rifle in the game.
The Drummer shotgun does make this a fun kit, forcing you to play at both extremes. Enemies will likely die on one trigger pull, either way. You’d just better hope they aren’t in mid-range, because if you are, you’d better hope you can quick scope with that Proto.
2Prototype/Whisper
$6,100
This kit does provide more versatility than the previous one, even if it sacrifices some of the one-shot potential to get there. It does fulfill similar range functions; the Proto for long range, and now an SMG for close.
The Whisper is a very good SMG, with two-shot headshot potential in close range. With that rate of fire, that time to kill is more or less instant, and beats out every AR in the game — other than a Reaver that happens to tap you in the head.
1Prototype/Blackout
$7,200
This is the kit with the best versatility and best damage combination in the game. The Prototype is unmatched in its weapon type, making you effectively the ruler of whatever lane you’re holding.
While the Blackout is not the best weapon of its kind, it is still an AR capable of extraordinary feats of gun-fu. It’ll lose out to a Reaver in an equal fight, but apart from that, it’s going to be competitive against everything else in the game.
