Summary
What happens when you mix two different food types inDead Rising Deluxe Remaster? You get an entirely new food item called a Mixed Drink with special properties. There are seven drinks in totalthat you can create and most of them will help you deal with various obstacles. This can mean making it easier to deal with Psychopaths or escorting your survivors to safety.
However, not all drinks are created equally and some are far superior to others. So, before you throw in two random ingredients together, here is every mixed juice in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster ranked by how useful it can be.
7Spitfire
Good For Challenges
Spitfire offers very little in terms of advantages. In fact, it might be the drink with the least benefit. If you don’t have any weapons on you, and you try to aim, you can click the fire button to spit at zombies. While this would normally do nothing, Spitfire gives your spit some damage. In the original Dead Rising, this also worked the same, but Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster gives this ability an extra kick.
Because you can now move while aiming, spitting the zombies to death is easier since you no longer have to be standing in place. This makes Spitfire slightly more useable on its own. Also, while the move does very little, it does open the door for spitfire-only challenges.
6Zombait
Attracts Zombies
Zombait was pretty useful in the original Dead Rising game since it let you distract the hoards from your clumsy survivors. The only downside is that all the zombies are now headed in your direction, obviously tantalized by the pheromones of Zombait.
Now that survivors are a bit more coordinated in the remaster, does Zombait still hold up? It’s a bit of a mixed bag but not the worst. Survivors may not get stuck as much as they used to, but if you want to get the achievement of saving every single one, you don’t want to leave it up to chance. However, unlike the other drinks, this one is not always one you want to drink. It can makePsychopath fightsharder by pulling zombies towards your area.
5Randomizer
A Surprise In Every Cup
Let’s be real. Randomizer is a fun drink since you never know what you’re going to get. However, in terms of practicality, it isn’t the best to be slurping while zombies are after you. Randomizer will give you any one of the other mixed drink abilities. Even so, this isn’t entirely a negative, since four will give you positive effects, one will give you a fairly neutral one, and only one will give you a situational effect.
So, unless you hit Zombait’s effect in the middle of an important boss fight, this mixed drink only has a slight chance of giving you a negative effect. Also, Randomizer can be mixed with other foods to produce drinks that you may not have the ingredients for unless you move to another area.
4Nectar
Summon The Bees
Nectar is one of the easiest mixed juices to make. Fruits are abundant in the mall, and you can find an infinite supply of Orange Juice on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. Nectar can help you out in a jam by providing a good amount of healing as well as spawning in a freeZombie Queen.
This Queen can then be grabbed from the air and thrown on the ground to clear all the zombies around you. This will give you a bit of breathing room while also making sure that your survivors don’t get swarmed. This makes it one of the more useful mixed juices to make and a handy one to have on you at all times.
3Untouchable
Zombies Can’t Grab You
Untouchable often feels like a variant of Energizer but is specifically made for those trying to get places without being held down. Untouchable stops thezombie swarmsfrom grabbing hold of you and taking a bite. They can still damage you but you will find that slipping through a crowd of zombies is much easier.
While this effect might seem trivial when better drinks such as Fleetfoot exist, don’t count it out just yet. Once the cult members start spawning, one of the most annoying things that can happen to you is that a zombie snags you and that hold-up lets a cult member throw the sleeping powder at you. Next thing you know, you’re waking up in the secret room without your items, surrounded by knife-wielding cultists.
2Energizer
Unlock True Invincibility
Energizer might just be one of the best drinks to mix in the game. It gives you a significant buff to your defenses when you need to deal with hoards, but it is primarily a boss battle drink. While the effects of Energizer are active, you won’t take damage from anything. Not only will it heal you, but it will make sure that you can land a few hits before the Psychopaths can start hitting back.
Energizer is easy to make if you know where to look and, once you memorize where the ingredients are located, you can stock up. However, despite this mixed drink being an invincibility potion, it only narrowly misses the top spot.
1Fleetfoot
Still The Best Drink In The Game
Fleetfoot is by far the best drink to have in the game. Wrangling 50 survivors is no easy task when you have a time limit that keeps you on your toes. Fleetfoot will significantly increase your speed, allowing you to make it from one end of the mall to the other without skipping a beat.
This mixed drink is also useful when you want to leave your survivors unattended in another area of the mall. This ability lets you go wherever you need to go and get back before your survivor’s health hits zero. By making you move faster, you can also dodge zombies easily.
Fleetfoot originally went by Quickstep in the classic version of the game.
