Summary
InEA Sports FC 25, Rush is played on a smaller pitch with teams of five. Each player chooses one in-game player and controls them, working with their three teammates to win the match. Since Rush requires a different skill set, knowing which players are best to use is vital.
While EA Sports adds various timed modes to Rush, you should always find a mode that requires nothing more than your player to be 88-rated or lower, with that requirement sometimes rising to 92. Therefore, all the players we’ve chosen fit that maximum rating criteria.
10Lionel Messi
Not only is Messi one of the greatest players of all time, but he’s also a great option for an attacking player in Rush. You’re looking for someone who has a good mix of high dribbling stats, competent passing, good shooting, and enough pace to burst past most defenders.
Messi’s 92 dribbling is about as good as you’ll get from a gold player. He has 85 shooting and 87 passing, which should allow you to spread the ball long as well as pass short. He also has a Team of the Week card with slightly improved stats if you’re flush with coins and are looking for an upgrade.
9Federico Dimarco
Every Rush team needs at least one defensive player, and Federico Dimarco’s Road to the Knockouts card is arguably the best choice in the game. He’s about as well-rounded as you’ll get from a player who costs less than 200,000 coins in Ultimate Team.
Interestingly, while he’s a left back with 82 defending, his defending face card stat is actually his lowest. With 86 dribbling and 83 shooting, he’s more than comfortable going forward when needed. Therefore, it doesn’t matter what players your teammates choose - you’re able to play wherever you’re needed without being a liability.
8Antoine Griezmann
One of the most overpowered players in the early months of the last two games, Antoine Griezmann is a great choice for Rush. While he is nice and well-rounded, with passing, dribbling, and shooting all between 87 and 89, it’s his PlayStyle Plus that makes him one of the greatest choices, and it’ll be more than familiar to anyone who’s played one of the 11v11 modes in FC 25.
Once again, Finesse Shot Plus is one of the best PlayStyles a player can have. Short range, medium range, or long range, it doesn’t matter where you shoot from. More often than not, whether on a full-size pitch or in Rush, the shot will fly into the top corner.
7Nico Williams
Following his star-making performances at the European Championships this summer, Nico Williams was always going to be a hit in FC 25. His passing and shooting stats, at 78 and 75 respectively, let him down a little, but he’s simply so agile that he’s hard to knock off his stride.
With such high dribbling and agility stats, be sure to hold R1/RB while dribbling to trick your way past players.
Not only does he have 93 pace, but his 92 agility and the Rapid PlayStyle Plus also make him feel unbelievably fast in short bursts. With a five-star weak-foot, he’s also comfortable dribbling or shooting in any direction. If you’re flush with coins, you could even pick up his Road to the Knockouts SBC card. Either way, he’s sure to get plenty of special cards throughout the year.
6Khephren Thuram
Considered by many to be the best SBC released in EA Sports FC 25 so far this year, Khephren Thuram’s Road to the Knockouts card is phenomenal value and great for Rush. You should rush to complete the challenge as quickly as you may, as he’ll be a great option for a while.
Not every player is available on the Ultimate Team transfer market. Some are only available via Squad Building Challenges.
Not only is he Gullit gang, with every face-card stat above 80, but he’s also massive at 6'4". That ensures he’s not only able to bully his way through teams in Rush, but also dominate in the air from corners at both ends of the pitch. Make sure you pick up Thuram’s special version, though, as his standard gold card will not cut it.
5Patri Guijarro
One of the most popular female players in the early weeks of FC 25, Patri Guijarro makes up for her lack of strength and height with a phenomenal combination of high technical ability and strong defensive stats.
Therefore, in Rush, she’ll be perfect for covering defensive transitions - sweeping up loose balls and spraying long passes over the opponent from deep. The long-ball PlayStyle Plus helps that dramatically too. Also, at just 20,000 coins, she’s one of the cheapest well-rounded players you may pick up.
4Bukayo Saka
Not only can you get well-rounded defenders like Dimarco, but you can also get well-rounded attackers. Bukayo Saka is a tricky winger with top-tier pace, shooting, and dribbling, but he’s also competent defensively. Compared to the other great wingers in the world, 60 defending is nothing to be sniffed at.
Also, Saka has already been given a Team of the Week upgrade, which costs around 85,000 coins, so you can pick him up for an even better option. Not only will he be a menace in attack, but he’ll also be able to contribute defensively. Much like in real life, he’ll be up and down the pitch with barely a moment to catch his breath.
3Fridolina Rolfo
You don’t get many players who can play bothleft-backandleft-wing(interestingly not left-midfield) in FC 25. Fridolina Rolfo is another player who can do a bit of both attacking and defending. She has 83 shooting and 83 defending, with every face card stat being over 80.
She’s not the most agile of defenders, but she’s a player you’ll be able to pick no matter what other players your team has picked. She can be the one player who sits back and defends, the one who stays forward, or a wide marauder. It doesn’t matter, she’ll shine in any position.
2Federico Valverde
Federico Valverde is the well-rounded player for those of you with a lot of coins to throw around. With his base card costing almost 500,000 coins on the Ultimate Team market, he’s a big investment. Interestingly, his stats are no higher than the likes of Dimarco and Rolfo, for the most part, but his 88 pace makes him stand out to a lot of players.
While Federico Valverde is a great player for Rush, he’s very expensive in comparison to other similar players.
He’s another player with 80 or higher in every face card stat, so you’ll be able to use him in any situation. If you have more coins, he even has a Team of the Week upgrade, which costs over 800,000 coins. If you can afford him, he might be the best player you can get to use in Rush.
1Ewa Pajor
Team of the Week teams often feature upgrades that fly under the radar. Ewa Pajor’s upgraded card has 89 pace, 89 shooting, and 90 dribbling, which puts her among the best players in the game. However, she only costs 30,000 coins, which should be affordable for most players.
Presumably, she’s cheap because she’s hard to fit into 11v11 teams that require chemistry - but she’ll be the perfect pickup if you want a player who’ll be good in Rush and Rush alone.
