If you’re looking for players with great stats to sign, then the Premier League starter cards are a great choice to look at. Some of these players are cheap to sign, while some are overpriced. So whichever you choose to sign, just know they’ll get the job done.
7Micky van de Ven
We start things off with the Tottenham defender, Micky van de Ven, who got an upgrade compared to what he had in the previous instalment. The young defender has great pace, defending, and physicality, which he will be able to keep up with his opponents, and his winning tackle percentage will be increased.
Although it’s his base card, his starter ratings are 88 pace, 83 defending, 81 physicality, 71 dribbling, 64 passing, and 47 shooting. With his 6 ft 4 in height and aerial ability, he will be able to intercept dangerous crosses and score header goals.
6Maxence Lacroix
A great cheap pick to consider is Crystal Palace defender, Maxence Guy Lacroix, who gets a starter card with great pace. The French defender is quite the speedster, which is what makes his card special, and you might want to consider his card if you’re on a budget.
The only great aspect of his card is his 88 pace, which he uses to meet up with his opponents and even create attacking runs if deployed on the flanks. Now, his other card stats which also help him are 77 physicality, 76 defending, 67 dribbling, 55 passing, and 41 shooting, which are pretty decent stats considering he is a defender.
5Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal’s lethal striker, Gabriel Fernando de Jesus, gets a great starter card with an 82 overall rating, which is a decent card to have in your squad. Although he got a -2 downgrade compared to his rating in the previous instalment, he still has tremendous dribbling and clinical finishing, which makes him one of thetop strikers in the game.
Jesus’ starter card ratings in FC 25 are 88 dribbling, 83 pace, 80 shooting, 77 physicality, and 75 passing. With his generally well-rounded stats, he could do a lot of damage in the front line. Keep in mind that his card has a fair value, so if you need a striker, then he’s the best pick.
4Timo Werner
If you need a pacey striker in your lineup, then the Timo Werner starter card will be a great choice considering he has the stats of a top striker. His new card’s default position is left midfield, but he can still perform as a striker and his card comes at a cheap value should you wish to sign him.
Werner’s top stats are his 91 pace, 80 dribbling, and 79 shooting. With these, the German player can wreak havoc either in his default position or his secondary position. Although his other stats are low, they can still be upgraded later in different evolutions.
3Diogo Dalot
Diogo Dalot makes such a solid full back as his starter card has some great attacking and defending attributes that you can either deploy as a right-back or even a right midfielder. His card also has some great features, like great defensive awareness, a high work ethic, and a strong physical presence which helps him block incoming attacks.
His new gold rare card stats are 85 pace, 80 dribbling, 79 defending, 79 physicality, 77 passing, and 63 shooting. These stats offer him great pace, defending, technique, and offensive abilities on the right flank.
2Jeremy Doku
A great winger you might want to consider is Jérémy Baffour Doku and his card may be overpriced for the first few weeks considering he has great stats. The speedster has great pace alongside a rapid playstyle, which makes him unstoppable when coming from the left flank.
His top card stats are 92 pace, 86 dribbling, 73 passing, and 72 shooting. His gold playstyle is rapid, while his default playstyles are flair, quick step, and trickster. With these stats, he will be one of thetop left wingers in the game.
1Christopher Nkunku
Although Christopher Nkunku received a downgrade, he will still make a great attacking midfielder for the first month of the game. The skillful player has great speed, dribbling, and the ability to body-feint his way past opponents and get the ball in the back of the net.
His card ratings are 86 dribbling, 81 pace, 81 passing, 81 shooting, and five-star skill moves. His playstyles are finesse shot, first touch, flair, incisive passes, technical, and trivela. You can get this card and many more features for a cheap price, and he’ll over-perform on the pitch.
