Summary

November 7 is nearly upon us, and every video game fan knows what that means —N7 Day. But if you were hoping that N7 Day 2024 would be ripe withMass Effect 5 teases or new information, then think again.

That’s because, ahead of N7 Day on Thursday,BioWarehas come out and asked fans to temper their expectations. TheEA-owned studio has just launchedDragon Age: The Veilguard, thelong-awaited next entryin theDragon Ageseries, and isn’t quite ready to talk aboutMass Effectso soon.

Taking to Twitter, BioWare cautioned that this year will be “quieter” due to The Veilguard’s recent launch. Though, it’s not like N7 Day will be empty,as BioWare also noted that there will be a “little fun.”

Mass Effect 5 Is The Focus, Though

While N7 Day figures to be not as impactful, it’s not as if Mass Effect 5 isn’t the focus. In fact,in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, BioWare revealed that it has no major DLC plans for The Veilguard. Instead, the studio will turn its attention to Mass Effect 5.

But as IGN noted in a follow-up report, BioWare will still implement quality-of-life improvements, as well as smaller updates, which will get some of their attention. Still, with The Veilguard finally out, it looks like the Mass Effect 5 hype train is just about ready to kick off. That coincides with previous reports aboutthe game’s mature toneandphotorealistic quality. So, while there won’t be a massive celebration this N7 Day, that doesn’t mean the next won’t be big. All signs are pointing to that.
