On Sunday,the official Wukong Twitter accountshared that the “master disc” of the game is ready, and as a result, “thePS5physical edition will be available to you very soon.”
Previously,the game’s physical edition was slated to be a code in a box, owing to the team’s “limitations in offline resources required for the import, export, transportation, distribution, and sales of physical discs.“However, those issues seem to have been resolved.
As for a price,reliable insider billbil_kun shared on their Twitter account that the game’s physical edition will be released on October 21, with a USD price of $64.99, $5 more than the digital edition. The EU version will seemingly be priced at €69.99. A release so quickly seems hard to believe, but stranger things have happened. Oct. 21 might be the day that preorders open up, if anything at all.
An Xbox Version Might Be Coming Soon, Too
As The Gamer reported yesterday, Black Myth: Wukong may also be on the verge of finally getting a release onXbox Series X/S.That’s because the ESRB page for Wukong has officially listed MIcrosoft’s flagship console as a platform alongside the already released PS5 and PC versions.
That said, it’s unclear when the Xbox version will come out, though it would seem that before the end of 2024 seems likely. It’s equally unclear if the presumed Xbox release would get a physical copy as well. Still, at least things seem to be moving in the right direction for one of 2024’s best titles.
