Summary
57 hours. 3,420 minutes. 205,200 seconds.
That’s how long it took one streamer to unlock the Dark Matter weapon camo inBlack Ops 6. Mind you, the gamewasonlyjust released on Oct. 25. YouTube content creator Skullface became the first person in the world to unlock the Dark Matter skin in Black Ops 6, allowing himself just three hours to sleep in between his grind.
It’s an incredible accomplishment — one that requires an eye-popping amount of work.
As my colleague Charles Burgar noted in theirHow To Unlock Every Multiplayer Weapon Camo guide, to get to Dark Matter requires a heavy amount of legwork. Take a look:
Every weapon in Black Ops 6 has three distinct camo tiers:
That’s just the start, because after reaching mastery, you’ll need to plow through Gold challenges, then Diamond, then Dark Spine. And then and only then can one reach the final tier of Dark Matter. In other words, it’s a long, long road.
They’re Not Done Yet, Either
Per Skullface, the longest period they were awake was for 43 hours straight. That right there is some serious dedication. And as noted above, they’re not quite finished yet.
They’ve now moved onto attempting to get the Nebula camo, a Zombies exclusive skin. Similar to the grind for Multiplayer camos, the Zombie camo grind requires an equal amount of legwork. Instead of Gold, Diamond and Dark Spine, there’s Mystic Gold, Opal, Afterlife, then Nebula.
Of course, all of this takes place in Zombies, and Skullface has taken to Twitch to stream their run. As of this writing, they are at 3/33 Gold, with a lot of work to go. Either way, what a massive amount of commitment to be the first. We could never.
