If you’ve been trying to download and play Shadows Of The Templar: Reforged on Switch today and you’ve come to the internet looking for an answer as to why it’s not there, this is it. Revolution sent out a press release on Wednesday afternoon revealing the Switch version of the game’s release had been pushed to October at the last minute. An exact release date for the Switch version has not been provided, just a vague October release window for a game that was supposed to be here today.
As for why exactly the Switch version won’t be available for at least another 12 days, the Broken Sword team cited wanting to ensure “the quality of play remains equally high across all versions of the game”. Definitely fair enough, it’s just a shame that it took until less than 12 hours before the game’s arrival to realize that. It’s not out of the ordinary for this to happen. Almost exactly one year ago, the imminent launch ofWrestleQuestwas delayed on all platforms with even less time to go until its release.
