Summary
Throughout its eight-year run, Brooklyn Nine-Nine continually proved itself to be one of the funniest sitcoms of its generation. Unfortunately, the fun came to an end in 2021 when the final episode aired. Since then, the world has been dearly missing the 99th Precinct and the wacky people who worked there.
Thankfully,Funkois giving us a slice of Brooklyn Nine-Nine goodness in the form of Pop figures. This is because the company is releasing a collection of B99 ones for the first time ever. Yes, there have never been Brooklyn Nine-Nine Funkos before. We had to wait for the series to be over before we got them. Better late than never, though, and it’s nice to see that most of the main characters are getting figures, as Funko is releasing five of them for$12 each on the Funko website.
As you’d expect from any Brooklyn Nine-Nine collection, there is a Jake Peralta Funko Pop. He’s wearing the sort of outfit you’d see him don while working. So, he’s got that sort of business casual look with a jacket, button-down shirt, and his badge around his neck. He’s also carrying a cup of coffee. His best bud, Charles Boyle, also has a Funko Pop coming out. He’s not ready for the office, though. He’s ready for the kitchen. The lovable officer has an apron on and has a salt shaker in one hand.
The NINE-NINE Is Finally Represented In Funko Form
The collection also contains an Amy Santiago Funko Pop. The figure is based on what the character looks like in the Chasing Amy episode, in which she is nervous about taking the Sergeant’s exam. This is clear by the fact that she’s sporting partially braided hair. She’s also wearing the same pantsuit that she wears in that particular episode. Terry Jeffords' Pop could be inspired by any episode, as he’s eating a yogurt, which he does often throughout the series. His outfit is standard Terry attire, as he’s wearing a nice shirt and some suspenders. He also has a happy look on his face, probably more due to the yogurt than the outfit.
The final and most special Funko in the collection is based on Captain Holt. Sadly, the actor who played him, Andre Braugher, passed away in December 2023. So, it’s nice to have this new figure based on one of his most famous characters. He doesn’t come alone, either, as his dog, Chedder, has his own little pop that is packaged with Holt. There isn’t a release date for Holt or any of the Brooklyn Nine-Nine Funkos, but it’s worth keeping an eye on the Funko website to see when they become available.
