Additionally, it appears that the map will be free and is not tied to any sort of preorder bonus or DLC pack.
It Looks Like We’re Going Back To Basics
What’s more is that it appears that the Nuketown that will be in Black Ops 6 is the original map that first appeared in2010’s original Black Ops. In the past, Nuketown as a concept, both in gameplay and style, has been in previous entries, however, with some small tweaks.
For example, inCall of Duty: Black Ops 3, Nuketown was renamed Nuk3town and took on a more futuristic vibe.
And inBlack Ops 4, Nuketown was situated in Russia, complete with snow and Russian-inspired architecture to match.
Of course, we’ll have to wait and see when the map does launch if it is indeed the original, however, based on the teaser, that appears to be the case. More so,with Black Ops 6 taking place in the 1990s, which isn’t too far removed from the 1960s time period of the first game, then it makes all the more sense that Nuketown would be unchanged.
Either way, when Nuketown does make its way into the game,it’ll join a launch list of 16 multiplayer maps, including 12 Core maps and four Strike maps.
