According toISPreview, Black Ops 6 caused a huge surge in live internet usage on UK provider EE/BT, breaking its previous record for gaming traffic.
ISPreview suggests that the largest spike in traffic came on Monday, October 21, the day the game became available for preload, with traffic driven so high due to its more-than-100 GB file size.
The website attributes part of the 144% week-on-week increase to the fact that this is the first year that the title will be available onXbox Game Pass, somethingMicrosoftwill be very happy to hear.
While the game’s early numbers may be promising, its player sentiment, unfortunately, isn’t. The gamedebuted to “Mixed” reviews on Steam, with players frustrated at the number of bugs, its overreliance on COD HQ, and its online requirements for the single-player campaign.
