As you venture across Hyrule inThe Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, you’ll encounter plenty of people who need your help to seal up the rifts devastating the land. Through puzzles and combat, you’re able to remove any obstacles in your path so long as you have the right echoes at your disposal.

The Gerudo Sanctum will test your mettle, as it’s filled with tough enemies and plenty of traps. Thankfully, we’ll guide you along every step of the way so you may find what you need to pay proper tribute and restore the rift and heal the sands of the desert.

How To Unlock The Gerudo Sanctum

When you first arrive in the Gerudo Desert, the path to the Gerudo Sanctum is covered with sand. The only way to unlock it is toprogress through the main quest, A Rift In The Gerudo Desert, until you’ve proven your powers to the Gerudo.

After sealing theStilled Desert Temple Ruins rift, you’ll be directed to the cave where you canpull the plug on the sandsflooding the entrance of the sanctum. From there, make your way to the now-open door and head inside.

Tri will create an opening into the rift, and you’ll bedropped into the Stilled Gerudo Sanctum.

Gerudo Sanctum 2F

When you first walk into the sanctum’s rift, you’ll spot Link running off. You’ll need tochase after him with Tri, heading up the ladder into the next chamber. In this area, you’ll need touse your echoes to block the wind tunnelsfrom pushing you back.

you’re able to also just climb around them bynavigating the blocks on the wall. Avoid getting too close to the strong winds and make your way to the top of the chamber where you’ll find a boulder blocking the way.Push it outfrom its resting place so that it blocks the wind tunnel one step down.

Proceed to the next ladder leading into the next room. You’llfind a waypointhere along with a locked door.

Where To Find The Small Key

The room to the left has a flying tile trap! You’ll unlock a treasure chest full of 20 rupees if you survive.

Take the eastern path andbind Tri to the mechanism near the door. Pull it back to move the blue blocks out of the way of the path forward, thenhurry across the conveyor beltsto pass through.

Bind Tri to the stone door in the next room to open a path andfind a chest with a small keyin it. Back track to the chamber with the waypoint so you canunlock the door to the northand press on.

Make sure to learn as many echoes as you can while exploring the ruins!

Mogryph in the Gerudo Sanctum.

The next room isfilled with snake statuesthat won’t affect you, but the room after that willlock you in and force you to fight off against several Mothulaenemies. Switch into swordfighter form or use your best echoes todefeat them and proceed to the next chamber.

Moving across conveyor belts can be difficult, and your next puzzle will be to do just that whilemoving stacks of cratesout of your path. Carefully time your movements so you have access to a clear area, thenhop off the conveyor beltsand take the ladder down.

The chamber below has several enemies, but you canavoid them with echoes like Holmillor attack with your abilities. Make sure to stop and rest if you need to recover health or plan your next move.

You’ll find a treasurechest with a golden eggin this room!

Make your way to thebottom left of the roomand descend the ladder toreach the tribute chamber. Activate the waypoint to see where you are on the map andunlock a fast travel point.

Take the western path, where you’ll belocked into a room with a Poeand need to defeat them to gain access to the outside area of the sanctum. Defeating Poe will reward you witha chest that has a mapof the rift inside.

Make sure tolearn the Poe echo hereif you haven’t already!

Head outside tocatch a glimpse of Linkagain. Follow him south and to the east, defeating shadowy enemies as you go. Hop along the cliffs to the north, then climb the tower and circle around the top to reach another waypoint.

Blow away the sandhere to find treasures,like a Monster Stone, and descend the wall to the east.Enter back into the sanctumand use Tri to pull one of the door-opening mechanisms again.

The next chamber isfilled with enemiesand cat statues. Defeat the enemies quickly andmove the cat statue to the north out of your wayso you may progress to the next room.Activate the waypointhere and advance.

ensure to rest before going forward, as you’re in for a tough fight!

Once you enter this room, you’ll find Link. The door tothe exit will closeand he’ll fire several arrows at you. This time, you’re going to have to getup close and personalto defeat Link.

Distract Link with echoes, then attack him. You can strictlyuse echoes to do your bidding or take matters into your own hands. While the first round can be tricky, it’s the second that will send you running.

This time,Link separates into three archersthat will attack all at once. Defeat them to open the way forward andunlock the Bow of Might. This allows Zelda tofire arrows by pressing Xin swordfighter form!

Head up the ladder into the next room andmove eastward to reach a set of ladders. This will lead you to a chamber featuringfire traps and a waypoint. Activate the waypoint and be prepared tostart looking for tributeto reach the dungeon’s boss.

Gerudo Sanctum 1F

In the main chamber of the sanctum, there aretwo open placesfor tribute. While there’s not much you can do the first time you pass the room, you’ll need tocome back here later.

The sanctum is filled with several statues of various animals, butonly two of themwill be used. Interact with the plaque to learn that thehints you need are on Gerudo Sanctum 1Fin nearby rooms. Thankfully, the hints you’re looking for are below!

Where To Find The Hawk Statue

When you re-enter the Gerudo Sanctum before fighting Dark Link, there’s alocked door to the east. Head through here and use Tri to open tostone door to the north. Pass into the next chamber, where you’ll need tolight all the braziersto unlock the hint for the first statue.

You’ll need to block the wind tunnel so that the fires aren’t blown out, sofire an arrow at the wooden crateholding it up. The wind tunnel will fall and you may light the braziers.

Interact with the plaque that appears for a hint about the next statue, whichdescribes a hawk.

Head backoutside the sanctum and move north. There’s a ruined tower far north with ahawk statue resting on top. Make your way there tolearn the echoand get one step closer to the dungeon boss.

Where To Find The Elephant Statue

The hint for the second statue can be found in the room to theeast of the tribute chamber.

OnGerudo Sanctum 2F, navigate past the fire traps in the room after defeating Dark Link. Use boulders or other echoes to block the flames so you can safely cross the conveyor belts.

In the far right corner of the room, you’llfind an elephant-statue echo. Learn it so you can place it on the pedestal, then backtrack to the last waypoint andhead to the tribute chamber.

Place both the elephant-statue echo and hawk-statueecho on the empty pedestals to open the way forward. Proceed into the next chamber and pull open the large door to the east. Sand will come pouring out, unveiling a room with a large chest locked behind a contraption.

Head inside anduse the blue wheelto turn the mechanism.Line up the black lines on each layer of the mechanismto open the large chest and obtain the big key. Move into the next room andunlock the big doorto face the dungeon boss, Mogryph.

How To Defeat Mogryph

Inside the door, Mogryph will emerge from the sands. You’ll have tohit him with your echoes or sword when he pokes his head outof the sand. After a few hits,Mogryph will take flight.

Avoid taking damage from his sandstorms and use your arrows to pierce him in midair. Keep this up and stun him to deal extra damage before he recovers. Once Mogryph is defeated, you’ll berewarded with might crystals and a full heart.

Tri will transport you outside the Gerudo Sanctum, whereDohna will greet youand inform you that the rifts are gone. Thisconcludes the A Rift in the Gerudo Desert quest, allowing you to continue with the main story!
