What Is Battle Training Mode?

Battle Training is a lesson mode containing acomprehensive suite of gameplay tutorials and explanations. In other words, Battle Training will teach you how to play Sparking Zero. But how do you use Battle Training, and where should you start? We’ll break everything down for you.

Selecting A Training Type

You’ll see a menu with two options when you open Battle Training. One option is aFeatured training typebased on your current progress. The second option,“Select Training Type,“lets youmanually choose a training typefrom the suite.

How To Use Battle Training Mode

Once you decide which training lesson to pursue, you cantake advantage of the following features:

How To Use The Practice Feature

Battle Training’s Practice feature will feelfamiliar to anyone who has played a fighting game with a mission mode. You’ll review thelesson objectivebefore receiving abutton promptat the top of the screen.

The button prompt will surge each time you press the correct input.Completing the button promptwill reveal a"Success!“message. However, if youfail to complete the button input, the prompt willturn red, shake, and disappear. Then, the button prompt willreappear so you can try again.

You can pressL1/LB + Options to reset positionsif Gohan and Piccolo fall out of range with each other. Toexit the lessonand choose a new one, pressL2/LT + Options.

What Is Training Mode?

Training mode(not to be confused withBattleTraining mode) is Sparking Zero’straditional free-form training mode. You can practice withspecific characters, stages, rule sets, and opponent strategies.

Training Mode: How To Get Started

You’ll begin byselecting the stage, rule settings, and BGM. Use theL1/R1 or LB/RB buttons to shift between options. After choosing your rule settings and BGM,press cross (X) or A while highlighting your stage of choice to proceed to character selection.

You canchoose up to five characters. Note: each team must not exceed 15 Destruction Points while using DP Rules.Select the character slotyou wish to fill, thenchoose a character to assign. Use the"Remove"feature tovacate a team member slotor the"Switch"feature toadjust your team’s order.

After you’ve composed your team,press L1/R1 or LB/RB to select the CPU’s team. Finally,hold the Square (□) buttonto begin training.

How To Use Training Mode

There is no right or wrong way to use Training mode. However, you’ll get more value if you understandTraining Settings. you may adjust Training Settings anytime byentering the Pause menu and selecting “Training Settings.”
