Summary
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6is the next chapter of the Black Ops line of CoD titles after 2020’s Cold War, and the campaign story follows the events of the previous game. You have returning characters like Russell Adler and Frank Woods and also some terrific new additions to the cast, all with memorable performances from their actors.

1Troy Marshall
Y’lan Noel
Troy Marshall is a brilliant new addition to the CoD series, and he will be the team leader of the rogue unit you’re with, operating out of the Rook safe house. He has brilliant improvisations in the field, like using motorcycles from the gala auction to escape with Adler after breaking him out. Marshall also becomes playable in the ‘High Rollers’ mission.
This character is voiced by actor Y’lan Noel in his first video game and voice acting credit. You might’ve seen him inThe First Purgeas the main character, Dmitri, and also the younger version of Isaac inThe Photograph. Across television, Noel plays Ferdie Platt in Apple TV+‘sLady in the Lakeand Daniel King in HBO Max’sInsecure.
2Frank Woods
Damon Victor Allen
A veteran in the gameand a veteran of the Black Ops series, Frank Woods returns with his voice actor from the 2020 game, Black Ops Cold War. His story picks up right where the last one ended, with him tagging along with Case, Marshall, and the rest of the crew based in the Rook in the aftermath of his suspension from the opening mission.
While Damon Victor Allen might be most notable for the role of Frank Woods in the new installments of the Black Ops series, he’s had minor roles in TV shows like HBO Max’sPerry Mason,Westworld,Shameless, and Quibi’sFlipped. And if you’ve ever seen a commercial forDave’s Killer Bread, he would be the voice of the Dave logo saying “Bread, amplified!”
3Sevati ‘Sev’ Dumas
Karen David
Another new character who will join your crew of rogue operatives in Black Ops 6 is Sev, a former assassin for The Guild, who’s a master of disguise and has one of the best personalities in the game. You first meet her during the second campaign mission, where you must eliminate some targets in Avalon to win her over to the team. Sev will also eventually be a playable character in the story.
Sev is voiced by Karen David, who’s starred in shows likeFear the Walking Deadas Grace Mukherjee,Once Upon a Timeas Jasmine,Galavantas Princess Isabella,Barryas Sharon Lucado, andLegaciesas Emma Tig. In other video games, she was Darine in2019’s Modern Warfare, Vicky Chu inDead Rising 4, and Isabel Kruger inMirror’s Edge: Catalyst.
4Russell Adler
Bruce Thomas
Russell Adler’s story continues after the cliffhanger scene from the ending of Black Ops Cold War. You’ll be capturing him during the opening mission of the game and then later breaking him out of a CIA black site when his expertise becomes essential to your mission. Bruce Thomas reprises the role of Russell Adler from the 2020 game.
Bruce Thomas is a seasoned voice actor in animated media and video games. He’s most recognizable for being the voice ofJim Gordonin the films Son of Batman, Batman: Hush, and Batman: Bad Blood. He’s alsoGi Nattak inFF7 Rebirth, NPCs Daniel Finch and Nathan Filmore inFallout 4, and the motion capture actor for Master Chief inHalo 4, 5, and Infinite. He also played TV dad Stephen Trager inKyle XY.
5Felix Neumann
Seamus Dever
The tech whiz supplying you with all the cool gadgetry you’ll use in the story (like your spy camera) is Felix Neumann, a recruit to the Rogue Black Ops team from Germany, specifically a former Stasi member. You’d think his compelling German accent would be done by an actual German performer, but Felix is voiced by none other than American TV star Seamus Dever.
Dever is most well-known for starring in all eight seasons ofABC’s Castleas Detective Kevin Ryan, assisting Javier Esposito, Kate Beckett, and Richard Castle on cases. Other TV roles include Dr. Ian Devlin inGeneral Hospital, Trigon (human form) inHBO Max’s Titans, and Andy the German inWaco: The Aftermath. Seamus Dever also voiced villain Joseph Seed’s brother, John Seed, inFar Cry 5.
6Jane Harrow
Dawn Olivieri
The CIA’s Jane Harrow was present with you during the first mission in Kuwait when Adler put everyone into hot water with the Deputy Director. However, Harrow was ultimately spared suspension, unlike her colleagues. She keeps a very close personal relationship with Frank Woods and Troy Marshall, checking in with them and working behind the scenes at the CIA between their rogue objectives, and she’s voiced by Dawn Olivieri.
Olivieri has been involved in twoYellowstoneprojects, playing Claire Dutton in1883and Sarah Atwood in the main show. She’s also Amy Nelson inSEAL Team, Debbie O’Brien inDen of Thieves, Lydia inHeroes, Sherri Ward in Netflix’sBright, and Monica Talbot in Showtime’sHouse of Lies. Dawn Olivieri also voiced Lucy Kuo inInfamous 2.
7Daniel Livingstone
Lou Diamond Phillips
It wouldn’t be a Call of Duty gamewithout having one super famous Hollywood starin the cast, and in Black Ops 6, it’s the legendary Lou Diamond Phillips. From the Ritchie Valens biopicLa BambatoCourage Under Fire,Young Guns,Longmire,Prodigal Son,Stargate Universe,Wolf Lake, and countless other roles, LDP is a household name.
Black Ops 6 will see him in the role of Daniel Livingstone, a Deputy Director of the CIA who benches Woods, Marshall, and Case after their mission failure in Kuwait with Saeed Alawi being killed by Adler instead of being captured. He also sends the CIA on the Rogue Black Ops squad’s tail after learning what they’re up to.
8Helen Park
Lily Cowles
Helen Park is another returning character from Black Ops Cold War, who was previously part of Russell Adler’s team and will now join you in Iraq as a special forces operative for Britain’s SAS. You need her captain’s help in laying siege to Saddam Hussein’s palace but first must help her and the SAS with destroying Scud launchers.
Reprising her role from Black Ops Cold War is actress Lily Cowles. If you’ve watched the reboot ofRoswell, New Mexicoon the CW, Cowles played the alien sibling of Max Evans, Isobel Evans. She was also Sarah inAntebellumand Germaine Healy in the 2016 political satire TV showBrainDead. Cowles’ other notable video game role isImmortals of Aveum,where she voiced Zendara.
9Matvey Gusev
Yuri Lowenthal
You don’t get more iconic voice actors than Yuri Lowenthal, but herehe is not your friendly neighborhoodSpider-Manfrom the Insomniac video game seriesand other animated shows, movies, and games. In BO6’s campaign, he is the voice of Matvey Gusev, a Soviet scientist who developed the dangerous hallucinogenic agent codenamed Project Cradle.
He’s credited for providing additional voices for many Call of Duty projects, includingCold WarandBlack Ops 2 and 4, but now Lowenthal is a more major character. Aside from playing Spidey, Yuri Lowenthal is also the titular protagonist, Ben Tennyson, of theBen 10 series, Johnny inFF7 Rebirth, a Male Helldiver option inHelldivers 2, Smoke inMortal Kombat 1, and the English voice for Sasuke Uchiha in variousNarutoshows.
10Gladney
Julian Stone
In Campaign Mission 4, Hunting Season, you’ll also meet Helen Park’s SAS captain, Gladney, who’s there to coordinate with you on an attack on Saddam’s palace. Gladney is this CoD title’s ‘Ghost’ Riley, as wonderfully British as a high-ranking soldier in the special forces can be. Some of his lines can also givethe humorous ones from MW2’s Ghosta run for his money.
Gladney’s performance is done by British actor Julian Stone, who previously voiced the UK Team Leader in2019’s Modern WarfareandWarzone. He’s known mainly for voicing background NPCs in a variety of action-adventure games. And apart from playing the original Jerry Jacks inGeneral Hospital, he’s guest-starred in shows likeCastle,Carnival Row,Suburgatory,Bay Watch, andThe Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
