Well, I hope you’re willing to wriggle your way to victory, as the next stage you’ll be tackling is the Wormy Passage. This is the third stage set inAstro Bot’s Tentacle System. As the name implies, you’ll be contending with a host of nasty worms, and they aren’t the kind that will fit under your chrome boot.
This guide will see you through the Wormy Passage’s cave system and help you locate all seven of the bots in need of rescuing, as well as the three jigsaw pieces concealed in these caverns.
Bot 1
The first bot you’ll rescue is the “Immune Survivor”.You’ll find her in the first section of the stage, sitting on the edge of a rock to the left of the gate that’ll lead to the next section of the stage.From the starting point of the level, you’re able to simply follow the wall on your left straight to her.
Opposite the first bot, there is a massive cactus. If you pummel them, they will explode, leaving a cardboard cut out and theperfectopportunity for a picture.
Jigsaw 1
After busting a few giant crystal deposits, you’ll reach a central platform where there’ll be a massive crystal deposit on your left and on your right.Break the giant crystalline mass on your right to reveal the Wormy Passage’s first Jigsaw piece.
Bot 2
Once you smash the massive crystal holding the massive earthen platform, you’ll run into a fork in the road: on your left is a giant spring, and on your right are a few grappleable cylinders suspended over a massive void.
Jump on the spring and head up to the platform above.From here, you’ll see a dangling mushroom. Punch it into the objects that surround you above, it will cause them to fall. Alongside these objects is the second bot.
Bot 3
Once you have grappled across the cylinders, you’ll platform up to a bridge that ends in front of a giant, golden, majestic dancing mushroom man.Clinging to this golden mushroom’s left arm is the third bot.Bop that limb and you’ll rescue them.
Bot 4
Once you have jumped up on top of the giant golden mushroom, you’ll reach a platform where you can grab a cylinder and pull it out - activating a platforming section: ignore that for now. Instead,look for two pillars with cacti guarding them.Sock the cacti with your extendable gloves, andclimb up to the platform with the engorged cactus above. Take it out, and you will free “The Dependable Smuggler” (AKA the Joel Bot), trapped inside.
Bot 5
After you defeat the massive worm, you will uncover a trampoline you can use to ascend.Look at the wall behind the trampoline, you’ll see that it is cracked.Jump up to the cracked wall, punch it, and you’ll find a hidden room with coins. The fifth bot is also found here. He’s stuck in a spider web.
Bot 6
After you have fought your way past the bomb-throwing cacti and defeated another giant worm, you will reach an area with a red plug in the wall.Take a left and you’ll see the sixth bot.Before you can get to them, a worm will burst out of the ground. Give that worm the ol' one-two, and you’ll rescue the “Fungus Head” bot - who is a The Last of Us Clicker.
Jigsaw 2
You’ll see this jigsaw piece floating above spikes right next to the area where you rescued the Fungus Head bot. to get to it, look for a giant red plug in the wall.Pull it out and water will fill the hole, allowing you to swim down and grab the jigsaw piece.
Bot 7
The final bot is sitting in the stomach of the giant worm that’ll swallow you at the end of the stage. You can’t miss this one.
Jigsaw 3
You’ll find the third (and last) Wiggle Path jigsaw piece in the stomach of the massive worm at the end of the stage. It is hard to miss, but you’ll encounter it partway through your great escape, which means you will have stomach acid nipping at your toes. The puzzle piece will be on the left side of the screen in the part of the stomach that comes immediately after the section with the two Spiky Bots.
