Summary
It might be hard to believe, but Amazon Prime’s upcomingSecret Levelserieswas revealed three months ago back at Gamescom Opening Night Live. Flash forward to today, and the anthology series from Tim Miller will be released in 15 days on December 10.
In the leadup to Secret Level’s launch, the show’s official Twitter accounthas been sharing a wealth of promotional trailers dedicated to the various properties that will be featured in the series. There was a promotional trailer for the episode dedicated to Warhammer 40,000.That episode in particular will actually serve as a continuation of the plot from Space Marine 2.
Elsewhere,Sifureceived its trailer, as did Dungeons and Dragons.
However, the most notable trailer was released on Monday — the one for theConcordepisode. Concord, as we all know, is long gone, having been canceled by Sony after a disastrous launchthat sawfewer than 60 players playing the game on Steam at one point.
That said, the trailer gives us a glimpse at what could’ve been had the live-service game survived, along with what to expect when the dedicated episode launches.
Return To Concord
While it’s certainly weird to see that Secret Level is still going to air its Concord episode, that decision was made a long time ago.According to reporting from IGN, regardless of the game’s fate, the episode would be aired as planned, likely due to the cost and production of it all.
As for the game itself, back in early November, there was one person attempting to play it, per SteamDB. However, with the game officially canceled and refunds issued, it’s all but a relic of the past.
Scalpers began scooping up copies of Concord in order to resell, while collectors desperately held onto their physical copies of a game that no longer exists. Meanwhile, the game received its final back-end update on Nov. 13, putting to end one of 2024’s biggest stories. Now, we’ll all have to wait until Dec. 10 to see how things could’ve ended up.
