Summary
Cyberpunk 2077is almost four years old now, and despite a torrid start to life, it continues to maintain a really healthy player base. These players are so invested that four years later, they’re still finding things hidden inCD Projekt Red’sfuturistic RPG.
Not too long ago, it was discovered thatMaelstrom gang members still have facesunder their cyberware, and before that, players founda button that turns off all the lightsin Night City anda killer vending machine.
While these discoveries are all fun, a player has just unearthed a link between two of the game’s best-known missions, which has major implications for its lore.
The Link Between The Heist And Never Fade Away
Cyberpunk 2077 spoilers ahead. If you’ve still not beaten the game, HOW!? Oh, and also bookmark this page for later.
Shared onReddit, the connection links The Heist from Act 1, the mission in which Jackie perishes, and Act 2’s Never Fade Away, in which you infiltrate Johnny’s memories in a bid to save Alt Cunningham.
Cyberpunk playerSuperAlloyBerserkerfound that a section of the architecture in Konpeki Plaza, where The Heist takes place, is strikingly similar to that in Cyberspace, with a tall beam of light flanked by dark walls. It was later noted that if the player chooses the Nomad Life Path, the car that V receives contains a stickerthat also foreshadows Cyberspace’sMikoshi.
Theforeshadowing discussionsdidn’t stop there, though, with another player pointing out that “Misty tells Jackie to ‘avoid mean reds.’ Well, the hotel is red, the relic is red, the interior of the car we arrive in is red, and the hotel goes into ‘code red lockdown.’ Dex’s jacket is also red,” which is why Jackie says “Misty knew, she always knew.”
It’s another fascinating discovery and one that shows that there may still be a lot to find in Night City.
