Darth Vader, Mufasa Voice Actor James Earl Jones Dies Age 93
Jones was considered one of the most recognizable and iconic voices in show business, amassing hundreds of screen credits during his career - including the likes of several Star Wars movies, The Lion King, Field of Dreams, Conan the Barbarian, Coming to America, and The Sandlot - along with several high-profile appearances on Broadway.
Jones was also one of very few people in the entertainment industry that managed to bag an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), albeit non-competitive as his Oscar that he won in 2011 was honorary. Still, that proves just how much of an influential figure Jones has been in the entertainment industry.
James Earl Jones' most recent performance came in the Star Wars series Kenobi, which had the legendary actor reprise his role as Darth Vader once more.
Jones also had a hand in several video games, most notablyKingdom Hearts 2as Mufasa. Outside of Disney, Jones also featured in Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun as General James Soloman, a little known PS3 game for the PlayStation Eye camera peripheral called Eyes of Judgment, and Under the Killing Moon, the third installment in the Tex Murphy point-and-click adventure games.
