Dead by Daylighthas steadily been releasing killer and survivor sets since its launch. While the original sets have created a great base for the game, Behaviour Interactive has been sprucing up the lineup with killers and survivors licensed from various popular IPs. The likes ofLara Croft, and the gang fromCastlevaniahave provided some celebrity cameos.
However, longtime fans of the series tend to look forward to the original characters created by the developers as they add more flavour to the game and aren’t restricted by the approval process of IP owners. A new chapter called Doomed Course has been announced for the game, featuring an all-new duo, but more importantly,a terrifying hound called Snug who you may pet as the killer!

Contrary to what Snug’s name suggests, his master is actually the killer. The Houndmaster, aka Portia Maye. As revealed in the announcement, she “spent her childhood years on the open ocean, setting sail alongside her father. Life was full of curiosity, indulging her imagination and forging bonds with her loyal dog Snug. It began as a voyage like any other. The storm was the first setback. The pirates the second. Portia could only watch helplessly as her father was tortured for hours and brutally slaughtered.”
As for the survivor, Taurie Cain “would find herself embarking on a similar course, oblivious to the creeping shadow looming overhead. Positioned to rise within the ranks of the Black Talon cabal, her dedication to worshipping an eldritch Entity led her to a chilling discovery. There were other Realms lurking beyond the surface, and they were within reach.”
Doomed Course will launch on November 28, but you may play it right now on Dead by Daylight’s public test server on Steam.
As for their perks,PCGamesNnoted that the Houndmaster can use All-Shaking Thunder to immediately jump forward after landing from a height, Scourge Hook: Jagged Compass highlights the generator that has the most progress made, and No Quarter makes the survivor go through additional skill checks when healing.
Taurie Cain can use Treacherous Crows to locate the killer’s aura if she disturbs the crows, Clean Break lets her eventually heal completely when another player tries to heal her, and Shoulder the Burden will let her swap the hooked state with another player, saving herself and condemning the other.
