Death Stranding 2’s Specific Release Date Can’t Be Revealed Yet
“The release date has already been decided, and I’m currently working on it in preparation for that,” says Kojima. “Since we are talking about 2025, it will be released next year, so we will announce it at some point next year.
“But, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we cannot announce it today,” he continues, without elaborating on what these circumstances are.
It’s possible that, while it’s still a 2025 release, Death Stranding 2 is being pushed back from its previously anticipated release window. With that said, Kojima has never narrowed down whether this will be an early or late 2025 release, so this wouldn’t be a public delay. In any case, it’s been confirmed that the studiohasa release date in mind, we’ll just have to wait and see what this is.
