AsDragon Ball: Sparking Zerocontinues to expand, fans are already speculating about the potential characters that could appear in future DLCs. Characters from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and Dragon Ball Daima are basically guaranteed, but there’s still room for iconic fighters and new additions to make their way into a future season pass.
From long-awaited transformations to powerful villains, the possibilities are exciting. Whether it’s characters from recent movies or classic series villains, here are the top seven characters we’d love to see in Sparking Zero’s season pass, be it the upcoming one or in the near future.
7Cell Max
The Super Hero Movie’s Final Boss
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero introduced Cell Max, a monstrous version of Cell designed to wreak havoc. In Sparking Zero, Cell Max could be an incredibly powerful, oversized character with devastating attacks, not unlike the already present Hirudegarn.
His sheer size and raw power would make him a unique addition to the roster, bringing a destructive playstyle similar to other giant fighters. Given his prominent role in the movie, Cell Max is one of the most likely candidates for future DLC, even if his lack of intelligence in the film makes him a more straightforward fighter.
6Orange Piccolo
He Can Grow Giant Again
Orange Piccolo, Piccolo’s new form from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, would be a fantastic addition to Sparking Zero. This transformation gave Piccolo a significant power boost, allowing him to take on much stronger foes, but we hope he also comes with a base form so we can power him all the way up.
In-game, Orange Piccolo can offer a mix of heavy melee attacks with some powerful energy-based moves, much like his original form, but with improved stats and special abilities. He should also be able to transform into his giant form, something not unheard of;Lord Slug is a Namekianwho can already do that in the game.
5Gohan Beast
Unleashing Gohan’s Ultimate Power
Gohan Beast is another highly anticipated addition from the Super Hero movie. This transformation shows Gohan at his absolute strongest, tapping into untold power to defeat Cell Max; apparently, this is what happens when Ultimate Gohan goes his version of “Super Saiyan,” becoming a combination of the best two Gohans: the one from the Cell Games and the one from the Buu saga.
In Sparking Zero, Gohan Beast could bring devastating attacks and power, sporting his signature move: Special Beam Cannon, a high-damage ultimate. As one of the highlights of the film, Gohan Beast is an essential character fans want to see in the game, and his inclusion in future DLC seems inevitable.
4Gohan Mini
Childhood Revisited
With Dragon Ball Daima just starting, speculation is running wild about potential DLC characters from the running anime. If the plot involves major characters, including Gohan, being turned into children, a Mini Gohan could be an exciting new addition to the Sparking Zero roster.
Similar to how Goku was portrayed in Dragon Ball GT, this version of Gohan could offer a mix of youthful energy and power, with his moveset adjusted to fit his younger form. Though purely speculative, a mini Gohan from Daima could bring a fresh and fun playstyle to the game.
3Nouva Shenron
An Iconic Villain From Dragon Ball GT
One of the standout villains from Dragon Ball GT, Nouva Shenron, deserves a spot in Sparking Zero. As one of the Shadow Dragons, Nouva brings fire-based attacks and incredible speed, making him a unique fighter, one that was already present in the original roster of Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
His ability to manipulate fire and move with agility would translate well into fast-paced gameplay, and his dragon-themed abilities could offer an elemental edge. His fire effects in particular, would translate well nowadays, as we’ve seenwith characters like Bergamo; fiery firsts look very good on modern hardware.
2Super Android 17
The Ultimate Android
Super Android 17, a powerful fusion of Android 17 and his Hell Fighter counterpart, was one of the main antagonists in Dragon Ball GT. His energy absorption abilities and brutal combat style make him a perfect fit for Sparking Zero, combining the special features of Android 20 with the combat style of Androids 17 and 18.
Don’t confuse him with Android 17 (Super); that is just the regular old 17 from the Dragon Ball Super saga.
With the potential to absorb energy-based attacks to power up, Super Android 17 could be a highly strategic fighter, rewarding players who can use his absorption effectively. His inclusion would bring more GT content to the game, and his popularity among fans makes him a strong contender for DLC.
1Android 21
The Fan-Favorite From FighterZ
At the top of the list is Android 21, the original character introduced in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Android 21 quickly became a fan-favorite thanks to her unique design, blend of Majin powers, and compelling backstory involving the returning Android 16.
In Sparking Zero, Android 21 could bring her Majin abilities and energy absorption mechanics, similar to how she functions in FighterZ. Her transformation into a Majin form would add an extra layer of depth to her gameplay, making her a versatile and powerful character, not to mention that she has precedence of being in other games, namely Xenoverse 2.
