Summary
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zeroplayers are a little let-down with its “limited” customisation options and have pointed out several iconic outfits that are currently missing from the “limited” selection.
From the moment Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero wasrevealed as the long-awaited fourth game in the beloved Budokai Tenkaichi series, it was clear that it would be aiming to rival it in terms of content. Now that the game is actually out (well, if you got the ultimate edition), that’s beenproven to be the case in almost every way.
Notice how I said “almost”. While Sparking Zero’s roster is unbelievable, there are certain parts of the game that seem a little lighter on content. Perhaps the biggest example of this is the character customisation which, despite having some awesome outfits, has been called out as being “limited” and “severely” lacking drip.
Sparking Zero Players Want More Customisation Options
While Sparking Zero does have a decent amount of customisation options for characters like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Trunks, there isn’t much for the rest of the roster to get excited about. This was pointed out by Redditor KingCuerno69 on the Budokai Tenkaichi subreddit, who noted that they were loving the game but that it also “severely lacks drip”.
KingCuerno69’s main problem with the customisation options is that there are a ton of iconic outfits and obvious picks that are missing from the game at its launch. In the Reddit thread, they share a bunch of fits that seem like they should be here, such as Goku and Vegeta’s snow costumes from the Broly movie, Vegeta’s Badman shirt, the outfits shown during the End of Z saga, and Trunks' iconic sleeveless jacket.
We don’t know if Bandai is planning on releasing more outfits as DLC,but a recent Steam update did leak a “Martial Arts Pack” that could be related to costumes.
It seems that a lot of Sparking Zero fans agree with this sentiment as the post is one of the most liked on the subreddit right now. In the comments, fans have agreed that the customisation options are limited, with particular ire going towards the accessories and lack of variety in the outfits. One fan even says that it’s their biggest nitpick with the game so far, which is telling about how great the rest of it is.
