Summary

Officially speaking,Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zerohas not been released worldwide as it’s still in early access. Still, that hasn’t stopped the spiritual successor to the iconic Budokai Tenkaichi series fromimmediately becoming the most-played fighting game on Steam, with over 90,000 players jumping in. Nor has itstopped anyone from discovering all the cool interactions, moments and secrets rife within the game.

One such interaction revolves around Future Gohan. As Bandai Namco had originally revealed back in late April, Future Gohan has one arm as he canonically should.

But beyond looks, it appears that his one-armed nature also impacts how the game plays. Because unlike other characters, who have both limbs, Gohan cannot go into a grab clash with another opponent due to his distinct lack of an arm.

Gohan Gets Grab Priority Instead

As first discovered on Twitter by a Sparking Zero fan, if Future Gohan attempts to go into a grab clash with another opponent, the sequence won’t occur. Instead, Gohan gets a priority grab instead. Meaning, whoever is playing Gohan, will immediately go into a grab and deal damage.

It’s just another one of the little things that the team at Spike Chunsoft has managed to sneak in that help make the game feel even more lore accurate. In the leadup to the game’s Early Access period,it was also revealed that scouters can break during battle, just like they do in the show. For those who didn’t purchase Early Access, Friday can’t come soon enough.
