Dragon Ball: Sparking Zerohas one of the biggest rosters of any Dragon Ball game, or even any fighting game. Obviously, it includes a whole host of Gokus and a number of rather obscure characters as well. However, some fans have mentioned that the likes of Bulma and Chi-Chi should be playable as well.
Their players have now been answered, as one modder has made her a playable character. Well, not entirely. It’s more of Chi-Chi’s body performing Goku’s moveset.
Chi-Chi Takes Matters Into Her Own Hands
If you’ve watched Dragon Ball Z or Super, you know that Chi-Chi isn’t one to be messed with. The strongest fighters in the universe are terrified of her, and rightfully so. She’s no pushover, and does know a few moves of her own. However, her main weapon is the ability to intimidate almost anyone.
Shared on Twitter by@DBSparkingNews, via@ignantedits, a video shows Chi-Chi absolutely wrecking Fused Zamasu. However, you probably recognise the moveset as that of Goku, which is immediately confirmed when it’s Goku’s voice shouting “Kamehameha” instead of his wife’s. You can be sure that the modder will be addressing the voice as soon as possible.
We’ve only ever seen Chi-Chi properly fight in the original Dragon Ball, where Goku beats her in the tournament, but given her no-nonsense attitude, especially towards her husband, fans found this video rather hilarious. If she had the same powers as the Saiyan, there’s no doubt that Earth would have one more defender.
Fans were pretty happy to see her throwing the punches instead of the usual bunch of Saiyans, even referring to this version as “lore accurate”. Perhaps with a bit more work, we all will be able to play as Chi-Chi. Cell is in for some real trouble then.
While these are the kind of mods that everyone appreciates, it seems there are alreadymods that help players cheat in ranked matches. A player posted a video to Reddit which showed their opponent spamming special attacks. It later became evident that they somehow had unlimited Ki.
A bit more research by other players revealed that there are a few easily available mods that give you buffs even in ranked online matches. Nexus Mods and Spike Chunsoft are sure to address this as soon as possible, but keep an eye out for them.
