Summary
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zerois nearly here, and the wait untilthe October 11 launch datecould not be more palpable. In the time since the game’s initial announcement, the roster has slowly filled up little by little, asvarious features have been confirmed along the way.
Now, that we’re a little under a month before release, information about the game is beginning to come out.Courtesy of a retail display box, we now know how much storage the spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series will take up on your hard drive. Hint: it isn’t small.
Be Sure To Clear Out Space On Your Hard Drive
As first spotted on NeoGAF, via a promotional display box, Sparking! Zero will require at minimum 100 gigabytes on thePlayStation 5. It’s unclear how much space theXbox Seriesversion of the game will take up, but it’s safe to assume that it’s likely in that same range.
It’s important to mention that this is before any day-one patches, which may increase that file size inadvertently. Still, the 100 gigabyte minimum shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, given how massive the roster is, plus the level of detail present. In some ways, it’s par for the course when it comes to fighting games,as Mortal Kombat 1 also launched with a 100 GB minimum before any Kombat Packs.
Game size aside, the box art does make mention of 2-8 online players, along with the already confirmed local co-op. The game will also seemingly make use of the PS5’s DualSense as “Trigger Effect Supported” is listed next to the game size. In-game purchases are also listed, though that was already known due to the Season Pass announcement.
Elsewhere, more than 180 characters are referenced, along with “Immersive Stages,” and “Iconic & Novel Episodes,“which may be in reference to the “What If?” scenarios. It won’t be long beforeDragon Ballfans can finally live out their wildest fantasies.
