Summary
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s first update has just gone live and it makes somemassivechanges to Yajirobe that turn him from one of the game’s best characters into one of its worst.
Ever since the long-awaited fourth Budokai Tenkaichi game finally launched last month, fans have been complaining about one overwhelmingly powerful fighter in particular. With a roster that includes literal gods, Fusions, and new forms that are stronger than anythingwe’ve previously seen inDragon Ball Z, you’d think any of those would be the ones causing trouble, but it’s actually a character no one expected.
That character is none other than the Bean Daddy, Yajirobe.Yajirobe has been busted since the game launcheddue to his Senzu Beans Skill Move that lets him heal all of his health with ease which, when combined with some surprisingly powerful moves, made him a total pain to deal with online.
Yajirobe Has Been Nerfed Beyond Belief
Spike Chunsoft was clearly aware of all the trouble with Yajirobe, as it announced last week that thegame’s first update would be making some at-the-time unknown changes to the character. That update has just gone live today and makes some incredibly sweeping changes to the character that have nerfed him massively.
As pointed out by Twitter user LotusAsakura, Yajirobe has been nerfed in just about every way. To start with, his Senzu Bean ability now costs six Skill Count instead of five, making it one of the game’s most expensive abilities. That’s going to be harder to achieve too, as he now starts a match with no Skill Count instead of the standard two.
That was more than enough to make Yajirobe less overpowered, but Spike decided to go the extra mile and really stick it to anyone spamming him as he also now spawns with two-and-a-half health bars instead of three like he used to. That means that he’s going to be a lot easier to take out than most characters in the game, which is at least true to canon.
Overall, the changes are pretty necessary considering how much trouble has was causing online. While it might seem like a little too far, it’s worth noting that he’s now going to be even more fun to beat people with, provided you have the actual skill required to do so and aren’t just relying on Senzu Beans like before.
