According toSteamDB, Thursday night in the US saw a whopping 91,005 players jump into Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on Steam, a phenomenal effort for a game that has yet to fully launch.
This number has seen the game eclipse the previous record for the most concurrent players in a fighting game on Steam, which was set byStreet Fighter 6in June last year. At the time, Street Fighter managed70,540 players, meaning Sparking Zero has achieved an almost 30 percent increase.

Sparking Zero’s 91,000 players also easily makes it the most-playedDragon Ballgame on the Valve-owned platform. With the cheaper Standard Edition set for release on Friday, it will be interesting to see just how high this number eventually goes. Let’s just hope those players have abit of an easier time with the game.
