It turns outDragon Ball: Sparking Zeroisn’t the power trip that people thought it would be.Players had a hard time in the story mode, especially with Great Ape Vegeta, and are getting wiped in high-level ranked matches.

However, all Dragon Ball fans know that the only way to become stronger is to keep training. Goku has constantly taken things to the next level by fighting someone stronger, and fans claim that’s the way to do it in Sparking Zero too – by beating high-level opponents with Yamcha.

Beating The Most Powerful Character With One Of The Weakest Is A Great Way To Train

Fans of the Dragon Ball franchise will know Yamcha as that loser surfer dude who got beaten by a lowly Saibaman. Not only that, he also cheated on Bulma, and is generally portrayed as the weakest of the Z-Fighters. So, practicing to beat high-level opponents with Yamcha does seem like a solid way of getting good.

As posted by one player in the Sparking Zero Subreddit, they beat a SS4 Gogeta with Yamcha in ranked mode. Not only did they win, but Yamcha wiped the floor with one of Goku’s most powerful forms. The fight goes back and forth a bit, before Yamcha absolutely tanks an Ultra Big Bang Kamehameha, proceeds to perform a 43 hit combo, and finishes off Gogeta with a Spirit Ball attack.

If you’ve been playing online, you’ll know that SS4 Gogeta is the current meta, and that lobbies are filled to the brim with the same character. Beating him with a lower level character like Yamcha is pretty difficult, even for a decent player. The comments on the Reddit post seemed to agree with this training method too.

“100% this. I never ever ever tell anyone to “gitgud” but in this game? Pick an underdog and get good. You will thrive, I promise you,” said one comment.

Another commenter was clearly a fan of the underdog, as they said, “Yamcha has been my top tier favorite since budokai 2. Having him use his wolf fang fist as a badass attack made him so epic for me. Followed by the spirit ball attack.”

All Dragon Ball fans will agree that training is the only way you’ll be able to get good and surpass yourself. However, there are those that want to take the cheater’s way out and usemods to give themselves infinite Ki. Looks like online cheaters have already made their way to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.
