Summary
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s final pre-order character has been revealed as Daima Goku, giving fans a little taste of the new series before the rest of the cast is added as DLC later down the line.
Afterspending most of 2024 wondering when we’d get an official release date, Dragon Ball fans were blessed at Summer Game Fest when it wasconfirmed that Sparking Zero is launching on October 11. Alongside that date,Bandai Namco also put several special editions of the game up for pre-order, which all include early unlocks for six characters and access to a secret fighter.
Six of those characters were revealed straight away (Gogeta, Broly, and their various transformations) but the exclusive character has beenkept a total secret for some time.Fans have been trying to guess who it might be based on the confirmation that they haven’t appeared in the series before, but Bandai has put a stop to the speculation and revealed them once and for all.
Sparking Zero’s Final Pre-Order Character Is Daima Goku
In a new trailer released for Sparking Zero that showcased all of the characters who are going to be on the game’s launch roster, it was confirmed that the mysterious final pre-order character is none other than Daima Goku from the new series, Dragon Ball Daima. The brief glimpse of the character didn’t reveal any gameplay footage of him, but we at least now know who it’s going to be.
Interestingly,a leaker previously confirmed that Daima characters would be included in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, something that’s now been proven correct once again.
Sparking Zero producer Jun Furutani confirmed that footage of Daima Goku, who is actually titled Goku (Mini) will be revealed soon, so it shouldn’t be long until we get a glimpse of him in action before Sparking Zero’s release.
As great as it is to see Daima Goku in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, it’s fair to say that his inclusion comes as a bit of a surprise.Daima was already confirmed to be coming to the game as part of a season pass, so including its version of Goku earlier is a strange move, especially with most fans theorising that it would be Arale, Beelzebub, or even Toriyama’s avatar.
