Dress To Impress' Hot Dog Outfit Changed Then Removed
As you would expect, if you give adults a creative license to make something rude in the name of getting a giggle, they’ll probably take it. The problem is that Roblox, and therefore Dress to Impress, are games aimed at children.
The misuse of the new hotdog costume in Dress to Impress has been noticed.
The game’s Halloween update had been out for less than 24 hours before development manager Zac was forced to put out a message on Twitter.He said:
“The misuse of the new hotdog costume in Dress to Impress has been noticed. We will remove the colorable toggles for it and leave it as a plain hotdog costume, if it is still misused we will remove the hotdog.”
A little over a day later, Zac was forced to put outanother message, saying, “The hotdog costume will be removed from the game for a bit due to safety reasons.”
He shared that the outfit would be coming back, likely around the beginning of November, and in its stead, the team would replace it with a previously unreleased cupcake costume.
Given that Roblox as a company has a reputation for not protecting children, with"hundreds" of child safety reports reportedly sent in every day, it’s good to see developers of the individual projects taking matters into their own hands.
