Summary
Last week, FromSoftware rolled out a patch forElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreethatfinally nerfed Consort Radahn, stopping his insta lunge when you enter the fog wall, reducing his damage, and increasing the visibility on several of his attacks. But it didn’t fix everything — players are still running intothe double Radahn bug.
As it says on the tin, this glitch sees the final boss duplicating himself for double the trouble. Given how many of us whipped out the Mimic Tear, it’s only fair.
It was first brought to light by Twitch streamer MissMikkaa, who turned around mid-fight to see a second Radahn slowly walking towards her. Unfortunately, people are still running into this problem two months later.
TWO RADAHNS!?
The exact same thing happened to one Reddit user last night, even after the recent 1.14 update. It’s unclear why this continues to plague players, but thankfully it doesn’t mean two Radahns attacking you at once. The clone just stands there, menacingly.
I’ve looked through YouTube to try and find other instances of this bug happening, on top of MissMikkaa’s clip, but unfortunately they all diebeforethey have a chance to beat the real Radahn, which leaves a couple of key questions.
For one, does the glitch outright prevent you from winning? Even though the second Radahn is useless in the fight, some theorise that his mere presence might glitch the game into thinking he’s still alive even if you win, in which case you’re better off letting yourself be killed to avoid the heartbreak.
The other question is what happens to Spirit Ashes and NPC summons. Again, in the clips I’ve watched, people either didn’t have these or they used real people as summons, but would the AI get confused and attack the wrong Radahn? It’s a bit of an annoying hiccup for such a grand finale, but thankfully it seems to be a rare problem. Regardless, if youdorun into it, try and get some experimenting done before offering yourself up to Miquella.
