Empyrean Overview
Welcome to the seventh door in the Abyss of Time, the Empyrean door. As was alluded to in the memory of the past you saw back inthe Judecca door, you and your SEES teammates will soon be getting to the truth of why you’re stuck in this endless cycle of March 31.
The battles ahead are some of the most challengingin the DLC, the cutscenes are some of the more emotional, and the Empyrean door in the Abyss of Time is slightly longer than all the others you’ve completed so far.
You’ve got a handful of markedly tough boss battles coming once you reach the end of Empyrean - we all know the end is never actually the end in Persona games, right? - so this is your final chance tolevel teammates you use the mostto an end-game level, honing their skills and stats as needed before the final fights.
The Empyrean door is also thelast time you have to explore the Desert of Doors, since you’ll be pretty smoothly ushered into the endmost parts of the DLC as soon as you’ve triggered the cutscene on the final floor of Empyrean.
If there are any more items you want to grab, like chests on door guardian Shadow levels, more Elizabeth requestsyou wanted to finish (especiallythe ones in Monadthat require some extra-rare loot drops), additional Linked Episodes you were hoping to see, now is the time todo everything before the game ends.
You’ll notice something of an abundance ofTwilight Fragments available around each level, so if you’ve still got teammates to level at the Great Clock, treasure chests to open, or skill cards to copy, explore Empyrean to stock up.
The door ends onEmpyrean B28, but you’ll find that you have a teleporter right before this floor like with normal boss fights. Unlike the other doors in the Abyss of Time, there’s a boss fight on the last floor of Empyrean, so come prepared.
The memory you view before the boss fight on the final floor of Empyrean in Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis triggers"The One Who Dreamed" trophy, but unlike the other blocks in the Abyss of Time, you don’t have a chance to get back to the dorm or Paulownia Mall before the next fight.
Shadows And Bosses In Empyrean
Hopefully, you’ve come prepared for some pretty tough Shadows in the Empyrean door in the Abyss of Time! We’ve got a full affinity table for the Empyrean Shadows for you below. There are more different Shadows here than in any other door in the Abyss of Time, so we’ve broken it up a bit more than normal.
More than ever, Shadows overlap between sections here, so hone in on affinities early and often. As mentioned above, this is yourlast chance to grind before the endgame boss fights, so make use of the ample Shadows in the Empyrean door.
If we haven’t highlighted a damage type specifically, that Shadow takes normal damage from that kind of attack. Additionally, keep an eye out for the tough shadows in Empyrean, which are marked with an asterisk in the table below.
Rampage Drive
As for the boss Shadow fights in Empyrean, you can count on facingtwo door guardian Shadow battlesas you venture to the bottom, where you’ll at long last face theSource of the Abyss.
It’s always best to head back to the Desert of Doors and swap out your team for the boss fights, especially the one before the Abyss, as itushers you toward the endgame- make good use of the teleporters on the floor before if need be to rearrange your team, heal, or head to Paulownia Mall to gear up.
