If you’re tackling the ‘The Cockatrice In The Clouds’ bounty inMetaphor: ReFantazioafter September, you’ll be flying out to explore the Manor of the Ascendant near Port Brilehaven. This dungeon is home to its fair share of monsters but also has some sweet, sweet loot lurking in cracks and crevices, just waiting to be found.
Here you’ll find a complete breakdown of this dungeon area, including all the monsters you’ll encounter, treasure, and any other areas of interest. Here’s everything you need to know.
How To Navigate The Manor Of The Ascendant
When you reach the first chamber, you’ll notice a large platform towards the north of the room but at present it doesn’t do anything.
Later on, once you activate them, these will become portals.
You need tofollow the path around to the left, into the next chamber with the portal plinth, and thenuse the crawl space on your rightto continue to the next area, where you’re able to continuefollowing the map around and up the ladder.
On the next map, you can head directly south and through a crawl space to reach another room with an item if you wish.
On the second floor, you want tohead east across the thin platforms. There are a couple of optional items to grab here (mentioned below).
In the corridor heading north, you can use the crawl space on your left to reach a new area where a Gold Beetle is.
You can also head north and descend the ladder there to reach an item hidden on the first floor.
The way forward to progress is totake the crawlspace on your right and follow the path downto the most southern ladder on the map. After descending, grab the item immediately on your right, beforefollowing the path northtowards another room with a (currently inactive portal).
Take the crawl space northinto the next section andfollow the path further north. Use theMove Contraption at the northern pointof the room to enable all portal platforms in the dungeon.
you’re able to now use the portals to easily return to other sections. Each portal in the north, east, south, and west has a matching pair in the center of the map, the closest one to it.
Each one will transport you to the other.
There is one additional portal in the center of the map, the most central portal, and this takes you to the third floor.
You want totake the most central portal(the lower of the two northern ones in the central room) to go to the third floor. You canhead either right or left, as both lead to the same place. On the fourth floor, you want totake either of the southern paths to the fifth floor, however, don’t miss out on the treasure chests.
On the fourth floor, go into the central chamber and take the crawl space south into the next room to where the two chests are. Claim your loot and then be on your way.
Once you’ve taken either of the southern paths up to the fifth floor, it’s astraight shot to the room where KokamordosTerror of the Skies awaits you.
The Manor Of The Ascendant Notable Locations

First Floor
Tainted Polearm
In the first chamber you reach after entering, it’s off to the right in the dead end.
Magla Injection
In the dead end on the western side of the map.
Talisman of the Femme
Dead end on the eastern side of the map, reached from descending from the second floor.
Graced Water
On the eastern side of the map, it’s found in the southern dead end accessed by a ladder.
Second Floor
Dragonblood Sap
The dead end on the southern edge of the map reached through the crawl space heading south.
Gold Beetle
Dead end on the northern edge of the map reached through the crawl space heading west.
Fourth Floor
Rakshasi’s Fan
In a treasure chest on your left after taking the crawl space south.
Heavenly Raiment
In a treasure chest on your right after taking the crawl space south.
Location
Talkative Tooth
After turning left when entering the dungeon, you’ll find it in a corner on the southern edge of the map. Gives you tips to buff your defence against the Kokamordos.
Move Contraption
At the very north of the second floor map, there is a switch you can use that will enables the portals throughout the dungeon.
Quiet Tooth
On the third floor, directly north of the main chamber. It gives you tips to use Ice against the Kokamordos.
Plateau Mirage
On the fifth floor, just before the room that leads to Kokamordos.
The Manor Of The Ascendant Enemies
Many of the enemies here are weak to Fire and Pierce, but you shouldn’t have too much trouble over all. Once Kokamordos is defeated, it does not appear again.
Notes
Ostoflo
Weak to Fire and Light, blocks Ice, Resistance to Lightning, and Dark heals it.
Noctiluca Papyrmas
Weak to Pierce, Wind, and Dark. Repels Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Light. Can inflict Charm.
Potolpo Bru
Weak to Lightning. Blocks Strike, Resistance to Fire, and Repels Ice.
Balmy Alento
Weak to Fire, Resistance to Ice, Lightning, Wind, and Dark. Light heals it. Can inflict Paralysis.
Weak to Piece and Fire. Repels Ice and Dark.
Weak to Pierce and Ice and immune to Fire.
