Elements of Enotria are synonymous with the Soulslike genre, such as putting you into the boots of a nameless hero, the Maskless One. However, the backdrop in which The Maskless One operates is where The Last Song’s studio Jyamma Games attempts to breathe fresh air into the genre. Enotria’s sunbathed setting is inspired by the Italian countryside, so a far cry from the worlds in which games likeElden RingandDark Soulstake place.
Despite the beautiful setting, all is not well. It would hardly be a Soulslike if it was. Enotria’s world is under a spell that means it and everything that calls it home is trapped inside of an eternal play.
