Blessings inWarhammer 40,000: Darktidedramatically change how your weapon functions, and can ultimately make the difference between a good build and a great one. For some weapons, these Blessings come pre-applied, while on others, you’ll need to apply them.

Whether they’re pre-applied or you apply them yourself, you may change the Blessings that you have on your weapon between missions for a small amount of currency by Re-blessing your weapon at the Shrine of the Omnissiah.

How To Earn Weapon Blessings

You earn weapon Blessings through weapon mastery. Every mission you undertake levels up your weapon mastery with the weapon you choose to use in the mission, and each level that you gain in that weapon’s mastery tree either gives you mastery points to apply, or increases the total power you’re able to upgrade that weapon to.

Each weapon can be leveled up to 20 on the mastery tree, which is where you’ll have the maximum level available for every blessing. You’ll also have earned a special skin with that weapon type for your effort, applicable to each weapon mark.

How To Apply Weapon Blessings

Weapon Blessings do not apply when you unlock them in the mastery tree; instead, to Bless or Re-Bless a weapon,you’ll need to visit the Shrine of the Omnissiah. Here, you can Consecrate your weapon, which will either give it a random perk or a random Blessing.

If you don’t like the Blessing that you’ve been given, you can Re-Bless it,giving you the option to choose any of the Blessings that you’ve unlockedin your weapon mastery, and at any of the tiers that you have available to you.

Every Melee Weapon Blessing

Melee weapon Blessings can add a variety of effects to your melee weapons, ranging fromdifferent damaging effects, torestoring your toughnesson hits andincreasing your movement speedfor a short time. These can add new facets to your build, or accentuate mechanics that you’ve already got built into your character.
