The Leap Year Society inUnknown 9: Awakeningused to be a lot more than it is currently. In the past, they had far more members dedicated to investigating and discovering lost knowledge of the arcane, but times are tough for them. Lots of them seem to be dead, defected, or missing altogether.
Like many secret societies, they have their way of distinguishing members or leaving a calling card for someone passing by, and these are the Leap Year Coins. Perhaps each member of the Leap Year Society carries one of their own. It’s hard to say, but there’s no harm in picking them up.

There are atotal of 24 Leap Year Society Coinsfor you to find and, like other collectibles, they’reoften hidden in unassuming places, or even sometimes on long-dead skeletons.
Leap Year Society Coins aremore commonly found in chapters containing ruins and Sahin structuresthan anywhere else.

Coin 1
Richat Structure
Pass through the large ring ruins with Reika, then stop once you reach a large crate with an explosive next to it at a campsite. The Coin is on top of it, next to a smaller wooden crate.
Coin 2
Chamiri
Go through the locked gate and onto the area with a road and several buildings. The coin is on the back edge of the stone planter by the red building.
Coin 3
Suknasari Forest
After climbing down the flowering vines and breaking the tree, cross over it and then jump across to the left and follow the path. The Coin is on a rock next to a clothed skeleton.
Coin 4
The Morning Star I
Leave the bridge and go up the stairs to the lounge area, then go to the table in the upper left corner of the room near the open doors. The Coin is on the corner booth’s table, near some bottles.
Coin 5
Go from the bridge up to the lounge area, then through the large doors and across the walkway to the crew quarters. Head into the first room on the left, and the Coin is on the brown chest near the bed.

Chamatkari Mandir
Once you’ve beaten all the Ascendants in front of the temple’s entrance, head into the tent in the upper right-hand corner of the area. The Coin is on a table with several radios on it near the entrance.

The Morning Star II
Follow Buchra to Vincent’s office when you arrive at the Morning Star again, and the Coin is on the small round table on the right side of the room.
Coin 8
Quinta Matos
On the second floor of the manor, go around the corner and into the first room near the Rusher, then into the bathroom. The Coin is on the dresser to the left of the bathtub.
Coin 9
Follow Luther down the stairs, but stop before you reach the heavy red door, and go up the stairs to the gazebo on the hill. The Coin is sitting on the base of the statue at the top.
Coin 10
Clear the Ascendants out of the graveyard, then follow Luther through the locked gate, and down to the very bottom of the giant staircase. The Coin is on the table at the bottom, next to a lit lamp.
Coin 11
Anatolia
In the first area with Anti-Stepping Devices, sneak around the left side and over to the first generator. The Coin is on a large wire pool beside it.
Coin 12
After Luther lowers the drawbridge for you, cross it and then climb up the ridge to your right. The Coin is in an indent in the wall on the right side of the room.
Coin 13
Kill the Ascendants in the area Luther starts a fight in, then go up the ridge below the wooden structure. Follow the path into the wall, and the Coin is at the end of the tunnel, near an opening to another section.
Coin 14
After helping Luther in the fight, head over to the heavy red door and open it with his help. Stop as soon as you’re through, and the Coin is sitting in an indent in the wall to your right.
Coin 15
After going through the crack in the wall with Luther, head to the left and climb up the ridge near several pillars. The Coin is on a raised area in the corner, near an Artifact and three vases.
Coin 16
Drop into the area with the Ascendants, and then sneak through the grass to the open window across from you. Hop inside, and the Coin is on the stone shelf near several loose papers.
Coin 17
Go through the rectangular doorway surrounded by rubble, and follow the path until you reach a large room with a large stone slab in the center of it. The Coin is on the edge of the stone, near a Sahin Tile.
Coin 18
Lift the rocks so you and Luther can go under them, then vault over the short ridge in front of you, and approach the crack in the wall. The Coin is in a pile of dirt to the left of it.
Coin 19
Dasuden
Follow Buchra into the cave and take the path down and to the left. Jump the gap and crawl under the rocks, then go around until you see a skeleton against the wall. The Coin is lying in their boot.
Coin 20
Reach the bridge operation panel with Buchra, then kill all the Ascendants once they spawn. Once they’re dead, you can go into the locked room near the stairs they opened up, and the Coin is on the table next to the smaller radio.
Coin 21
After rescuing Buchra, follow the path forward, kill the Gearhead, and then climb up the rock wall. Head through the crack in the wall, and the Coin is on a stack of crates immediately to your left.
Coin 22
Peshanden
Go through the second multi-lock Sahin door with Buchra, clear all the Ascendants out of the area, then follow the railroad tracks to the left. Turn the corner and the Coin is on the table next to several barrels.
Coin 23
After defeating the Gearhead and falling below, immediately turn around and go through the doorway behind you. The Coin is on the left side of the room, on the ground.
Coin 24
Drop into the cave filled with Ascendants and massive pipes above you, and head to the left side of the area, past the building with a control panel in it. Follow the railroad tracks to the end of the tunnel, and the Coin is on the floor, next to three stacked crates.
