InLife Is Strange: Double Exposure, we get to see Max Caufield again as a full-grown adult, having to make full-grown adult choices. After spending years traveling and honing her photography skills, she’s settled down in Lakeport, Vermont as Caledon University’s artist-in-residence.
In this new adventure we get to meet all of Safi’s new friends, students (cause our girl is teaching seminars now!), and possible enemies. And now, it’s time to get acquainted with the all the beautiful people who bring these characters to life.
1Max Caulfield
Played By Hannah Telle
Max Caufield, our main character, has grown up and is now a full-time photographer for Caledon University. Though she still holds onto a lot of trauma from Arcadia Bay, she is able to meet life head-on with all of her loveable quirkiness.
And they can’t bring Max back without also bringing back the lovely Hannah Telle, who also played Max in the first Life Is Strange game. Aside from playing Max in Life Is Strange, she’s also a musician with two full albums, she’s also voiced Iris Campbell and Rose Campbell in Murdered: Soul Suspect, and has recently graduated from the University of Southern California as a Neuroscience major.
2Safiya Llewellyn-Fayyad
Played By Olivia AbiAssi
Max’s new bestie is the beautiful Safiya Llewellyn-Fayyad, daughter of Caledon University’s president, and a liberal arts major. While Max’s passion lies in capturing the right photo, Safi puts all of her love, anger, and sadness into her poetry.
The actress lending her voice to Safi is the equally lovely Olivia AbiAssi. This half-Lebanese actress fell in love with acting at a young agewhen she played the Magical Spoon in Beauty and The Beast. Since graduating from the University of Oklahoma she’s gotten work in various plays, commercials, and video games.
3Moses Murphy
Played By Stephen “Blu” Allen
The adorkable Moses Murphy is Caledon’s resident astrophysicist and geek, as well as Safi and Max’s best friend. His love of life and innocence make him the most loved character in the entire Life Is Strange cast.
The voice behind Moses is Stephen aka Blu Allen, a musician who struggled in school and eventually left to go back to auditioning and acting. In addition to playing Moses in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure he has also performed on stage in MJ The Musical.
4Amanda Thomas
Played By Samantha Bowling
Amanda isn’t a student or a teacher at Caledon, but is the cute owner of the Snapping Turtle, the on-campus restaurant and bar where everyone hangs out when they’re not in class or studying. After Safi’s death in Chapter 1, Amanda is the first one to bring a smile to Max’s face with some home cooked food and her charming attitude.
Giving her life is actress Samantha Bowling from Commerce Township, Michigan. Samantha received her B.G.A. in Musical Theatre from The University of Tampa with a Minor in Dance, but has also been studying voice, various styles of dance, and acting over the years.
5Diamond Washington
Played By Ilaseia Gray
Student activist Diamond Washington is a force to be reckoned with on Caledon’s campus. She’s extremely driven and outspoken about what she wants and is not above taking people down a peg or two if they deserve it. She can be seen often on campus with her bestie, Reggie, or plotting to take Vinh Lang’s Abraxas crown.
Ilaseia Gray is a lot like Diamond in that her passions drive her to succeed in all things, whether it be in acting or activism. She loves the stage, and she uses her talents to advocate for others, and encouraging other black youth to use their own voices and advocate for themselves.
6Reggie Kagan
Played By Jake Cuddemi
Reggie Kagan is like everyone’s little brother at Caledon. He’s lovable, clumsy, and, according to Max, a great photographer. Reggie, like many people, suffer from self-esteem and doubts himself a lot, but his friend Diamond is always able to lift his spirits.
The voice behind this sweet character is Jake Cuddemi, who’s also done voiceover work for various other video games and has appeared in a few short movies.
7Yasmin Fayyad
Played By Bahr Dawoud
Yasmin Fayyad, voiced by Bahr Dawoud, is the president of Caledon university and fiercely protective of her daughter Safi, to a fault, even. Her overprotective nature eventually led to Safi developing her shapeshift powers because the only time she felt like she could be herself is when she wasn’t herself.
As far as we know, Yasmin is the only voiceover acting role that Bahr Dawoud has had, but their voice serves to give life to the President of Caledon University.
8Vinh Lang
Played By Sam Oguma
Charismatic Vinh Lang is the head of the Abraxas Society and administrative assistant to Yasmin Fayyad, the university’s president. When he’s not sending Abraxas students on wild goose chases or managing Yasmin’s schedule, he can either be found pining after Safi or drowning his sorrows at the Snapping Turtle.
Vinh’s voice actor is Sam Oguma, an actor, bartender, writer, and University of Northern Colorado currently living in Chicago.
9Gwen Hunter
Played By Rachel Crowl
Gwen Hunter is the abrasive and well-meaning literature teacher at Caledon University. She’s passionate about helping her students get what they want, and doesn’t like to take no for an answer.
Gwen’s voice actor, Rachel Crowl, has a few acting credits under her belt, including an appearance in the TV show New Amsterdam, as well as movies Smiley Face Killers and And Then There Was Eve.
10Loretta Rice
Played By Ashlynn Hideman
Anywhere you go you’ll come across the one reporter who gets the story no matter what, and Caledon is no different. Loretta Rice is like a dog chasing a bone when she’s hunting down a story. She is a force to be reckoned with and will stop at nothing to get the scoop.
Ashlynn Hideman is a seasoned actress who has won several awards for her acting, and has appeared on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and a few network shows as well.
