There are a lot of different quests inDragon Age: The Veilguard, and they come in lots of different forms. As a result, it can be hard to keep track of which ones you’ve done, and where you’re up to in the story. So, we’re here to break down every quest you can do.

We’ve got the Story Quests, the Companion Quests, and the Region Quests (AKA the Side Quests). Thanks to Dragon Age being a choice-based series, you can’t actually do every single quest on a single run, but you can still grab most of them - if you know where to look, at least.

Every Story Quest In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Below are a list of the narrative quests that progress the story in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Key information about quests is highlighted in brackets. Conversations mean the Quest is just a short cutscene with dialogue options.

Solas Memories

While these count as ‘Story’ Quests, they do not need to be completed to finish the game, and involve reliving Solas' memories in the Crossroads.

Companion Quests

Each of theCompanionshave their own quests too, and while some tie more specifically into the main story, others are more off to the side. However, you’ll still need to reach certain milestones to unlock them. Again, Conversations are cutscenes with dialogue options, while Outings are non-combat walking simulator quests.

You get these quests by talking to companions when they’re at the Lighthouse with a yellow exclamation mark. Quests don’t all become available at once, so if you pass the story quest where these should unlock, check back regularly to unlock it.

Region Quests

As well as the central narrative quests and the ones you get from your companions, there are various quests dotted around the map, highlighted with yellow exclamation marks. These will boost faction strength, but they don’t always boost the faction for the region they’re in - and some help with various factions due to the nature of the task. Here they are broken down by region.
